Hello everyone, I have a few legacy lenses lying around which are not in good working condition, and I will be investing in some more manual focus lenses. I have a Vivitar 75-205 f/3.8 (Vivitar made) that is falling apart and I consider just an overall average performance lens A Minolta 50mm f/1.7 MD with the aperture lock not working, damaged coating, damaged thread and sloppy focus ring A Craiq 135mm f/2.8 (Yaschica made) with fungus, overall average performer and a perfect Helios 44-2 58mm...

Hello guys and gals, can someone upload a photo of a 77 filter with a lens that has a filter thread under 55mm, preferably on small body like a Sony A3000 or even nex style body. Thank you. --We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public. -Abraham Lincoln

Searching for a flash for the Sony MI shoe of my A3000, I came across Travor. They really are very helpfull over emails and they respond quickly, but I couldn't find any info on the net for their products. Anyone came across or used these flashes? They informed me that SL585 and SL685 are available for the Sony MI shoe and that they can be bought directly from them for 100$ or 110$ respectively. Travor SL-685S Travor SL-585S

Considering whether to get an A5000 or A3000 as backup bodies for my NEX6. Role would be general travel photos with E 30/16/UWA & tele shots with an A adapter and 55-300. Also for use with old MF lenses. From what I can see: they share a similar sensor, have similar menu systems; the trade-off is size vs (low-res) EVF. I'm tempted by the EVF though as first use would be in the sunny tropics... Wondering also if the A3000 can add the optical corrections to JPEG shots with the 16-50 too? Anyone...

****EDIT**** Problem resolved. It turns out there was a loose/incomplete insertion of the flash in the adapter OR adapter into the hotshoe. Backed everything out, connected the flash to the adapter THEN inserted adapter into the hotshoe and the contacts were good.  **** I just purchased an A3000 and realized that my existing flash (HVL-F42AM) would not work since it was for the proprietary hotshoe on the a300 & a350 I had been using. I purchased an adapter (ADP-MAA) so that I can continue to...

I"m thinking about downgrading from my A7r and I'll be using a 14mm rokinon to do architectural and interior photography. I have an A850 and an A3000, and I'm wondering which you guys think would be best suited to the task -- the A3000 has live view, but I'd have to use a lens turbo II (I'd rather not pay a bunch for a speed booster), whereas the A850 does not, but is natively full frame (also, does not look or feel like a toy, which for me is an added bonus). The A850 can bracket w/ flash,...

Upgrading from point and shoot and my mom won't let me buy used. Best Buy is selling both the A3000 and the T3 for just under $300, which is my budget, though the A3000 comes with a free camera bag that usually sells for $30. Based on your experiences and opinions, which is the better camera/deal?

Hi all, I am trying to find a camera to use when I go on travels for climbing/travel. I used to have an Olympus XZ-1, as was very happy with it, but it got stolen. So now I am looking for a new one. I am on a limited budget, and have suggested the below cameras as I know I can afford them. TZ60, FZ72, NEX-3N (with 16-50mm), A3000 (with 18-55)mm, LX7.   While reading climbing blogs, I've noticed that alot of people recommend having some wide angle and zoom capabilities, which is why I've...
