If you own a mid or high end Sony DSLR, then you should own this lens. Its a great portrait lens, very good in low light (I love it for live bands), AF speed is more than adequate and it is sharper than any 85mm lens I have used to date (havent used a Canon 85/1.2 yet nor the new Nikon 85/1.4G). Problems: On older or lower end models with weak AF motors, AF speed isnt exactly stellar.
