I'm impressed with the quality of the pictures. Problems: Terrible lag time in taking a picture with a Smart chip. Up to seven seconds. Terrible lag time from when you press on the picture button and it takes the picture. At least .5 seconds. If you are trying to capture a moment, it's almost impossible. I've tried to contact Sony on other cameras consering lag time etc. But no body at Sony seems to know anything. Would like to move up, but will not buy anymore pig-in-the-poke items.

Well Ive had the Sony Mavicam-75 and just purchased the Mavicam-95. I really like the feel of this camera.Takes good quality color pictures with alot of options for even the more experienced photographer. You can shop around and find a great deal on this camera if you look hard enough.Excellent buy for the buck. Problems: Slow in recording pictures. Also because of being slow, moving pictures are almost impossible because your subject has already moved from he veiwfinder when it finally records

I have had this camera for almost 11 months and still love it. I also have a Nikon Coolpix 990 that I won with a shot that I took with this camera. I almost bought the 990 when I was looking at it and the FD-95. I picked the FD-95 because we already had some memory sticks for our Sony DCR PC100 Digital Video Camera that took 1.3 mp stills and I really liked the zoom. Since then I have also appreciated the image stablizer which the 990 does not have. I have been able to take shots ...

I have had this camera for 8 months now. After doing research on this and other SLR digcams, I chose this one. It does everything I ask it to do. The image quality is great for printing up to 8x10. LIKES: Ease of use-my 8 year old nephew had no problem using this camera despite all the features it has FLOPPIES FLOPPIES FLOPPIES Image quality-great quality overall Macro setting works very well Problems: No REAL problems, however do not like: Record time-takes too long to record the image Shu ...

This is my first digital camera so I don't have anything to compare to. I love everything it does, for what I use it for (I publish a magazine and coinciding web sites). The quality of the pics are fantastic and the ease of the floppies are just killer! Problems: The problem I'm having is that the resolution doesn't exceed 72dpi and the print outs are not very good ... of course I may be doing it the wrong way also - anybody got any suggestions?

I've used this camera for pro-work and found its major shortfall was that you can't make physically large-sized images with it. It's fine for pictures up to 6" x 4" on the page and colour quality is excellent. I have, however, at times found it useful to process the image through Intellihance to improve it. I recently took some shots with daylight flash assistance in a factory setting and found that those I took on film turned out to be not as good as the digitals on the Sony - and they went ...

Well I sold this on EBay after using it a few times. Sure it takes fantastic pictures at perfect settings but I brought it to a party, and boy did it fail in every aspect. The flash does a HORRIBLE job, the camera does an even worse job autofocusing in low light. Not to mention that you can't see a THING through either the view finder or the display in lower light settings. Problems: What made me sell it were 1) The unreal amounts of time it took to record pictures onto the floppy adaptor. ...

My fourth Sony. The FD-73 (Great entry level digital with 10X zoom), the Sony DSC-S30 (small enough to fit in a jacket pocket, fast with memory stick), the FD-91 (still have it due to higher shutter speed, 1/4000th). I upgraded to the 95 due to the higher resolution, have printed 8X10's on Epson Photo printer that people say are real photo's. The floppyy disk storage is the out standing feature of the camera as with most Mavica's. Did not even consider the CD1000, even with CD capacity, too ...
