Very happy with the choice. Upgraded from the 71 model. Huge difference. I only paid $320.00 for it at Best Buy when they were discontinuing this model. No complaints! Problems: No problems so far, but adaptor too slow.

Used twice and it broke! Seems the disc reader quit working right. Contacted Sony by phone and they had an automatic answering system for the problem... which indicates that it's wide spread. Of course, it is JUST past the 90 day warranty and was only used twice, but Sony won't budge. So, in addition to buying the camera, I get to buy it again to make it work. Gee.... I like sony!

Pros: So far the camera has been working like a champ. Great battery system. Very decent images with good but small (3.5 x 5.5 inches) prints (at 1024x768 resolution). Using a floppy disk translates to minimal downloading and connection time. Cons: Better pack a bunch of floppy disks with you if you want to take photos ...

Good: 4X disquette drive, 8X zoom, great macro feature, more than decent built.in flash, external flash connector, great TFT screen, compact body, amazing battery system, manual-focus ring. However... Problems: Lack of aperture or shutter speed controls, barrel distorsion in wide angle lens setting, very expensive accesories, too much jpeg ...

What really impressed me is the macro capability when combined with a Sony close up lens. The results are very good. Problems: Should have built in hot shoe on the camera for external flash.Using external bracket is not convenient.
