I own a fleet of Canon AE-1 Programs with enough lenses to start my own store, but for just plain fun and quick shots, it would be tough to beat the FD-90. It has a decent lens and for what I paid for it new, I'm satisfied with the resolution and the ease of operation. It's short on features, long on convenience. Flash works reasonably well, color balance is a little yellow even adjusted for indoor lighting. I love the fact that it shoots onto a floppy. (Turned out not to be such a good ...

hello, we have been using this camera for over more then a year now, and shot over 10,000 pictures with it. it's not high in resolution, but the picture-quality isn't all that bad. we make pictures on outdoor locations, for a kind of fetish-fashion style. we are somehow pleased with it, but are looking for something more because the camera has its limits. for indoor shots we find it awfull, can't seem to get the flash working well. sometimes we find it hard to get the rigt white balance ...

I've taken over 15,000 hi-res photos with this camera and it was broken in my carry on luggage on the airplane! It has suburb imaging of the top 15% of the tonal range and great zoom and macro. The flash extended to 20 feet and when I needed a fill flash I could force it. Pretty good for a light camera. I had to write my own VB software to put the time and date stamp in the filename. IF Ch Conley STILLS WANTS TO SELL HIS CAMERA CONTACT ME AT MACMARK@COMCAST.NET PLEASE! Problems: After about ...

It's perfect !!! Why buying a Ferrari if you can have a Porsche? That's my opinion.... Problems: Difficulties to clean up the LCD. It requires a special care.

I have been using this camera for the past two plus years. I echo another review, when the pictures are good, they are good, and when bad, they are very bad. I have taken about 700+ quality pictures in the highest res and have no particular problems with the camera, except low light. The floppy is a good feature for instant results, especially if you need to use a picture on another computer. With the quality out there, I would only buy this camera if it was dirt cheap. Looking to buy ...

I am so disapointed with this camera. We paid full price 1 1/2 years ago and just this month purchased a sony digital camcorder that takes better quality pics than the FD-90. And, it was less expensive!!!! Just three months after purchasing the Sony FD-90 one of my friends purchased a digital camera for $340 and I borrowed it. Better photos and higher quality. If anyone would like to purchase my FD-90 it's for sale! Problems: Low megapixels terribly quality photos compared to other cameras

As with everyone else, it's way too slow with the mem stick adaptor. Nowadays, it's a good deal. I paid way too much for it a year and a half ago. Seems like you need just the right lighting for outdoor shots. Any bit of sunlight in front of you will significantly wash the picture. You need to be real steady with your hands while taking the picture, or it will blur, especially in the night mode. All in all, I've taken 1000+ quality photos. I use the 550 battery, which can last up to 5+ hours ...

I switched from an Olympus OM SLR to Sony FD 81 a few years ago and to FD90 about a year ago. One has to wait too long to get pictures bsck from film cameras - with Sony cameras one can get results in about a minute at times. The lithium battery is great. Macrophotography is outstanding. Picture quality not too bad - for macro great Problems: Hard to see what one is suposedly aiming at under certain light conditions. A hot shoe for additional flash would be helpful. On whole, quite pleased ...
