I still use this for web and EBAY photos because it takes great low resolution pictures. Floppies are still convenient for this. Great battery with most accurate remaining life readout I've seen on any electronic item. My only wish was that it had a viewfinder -- this camera is poor in outdoor lighting because you can't see the LCD, therefore can't frame pictures! Problems: Alway ran well.

I bought this camera 5 years ago after updating from a Mavica FD71. I have never had any problems with it and it's faultless all these years later so I would say it's extremely reliable. Despite it's non-compact size it feels good in your hands. The LCD screen on my FD71 got scratched, so I protected the screen on my new camera by attaching a rectangular piece of glass with thin strips of double sided tape around the edges over the screen. One thing I particularly like about this camera is ...

Very solid high quality camera I used this camera for many years, and it is still working perfect!! I really love this camera, but the price was not so cheap. Now i am going to buy the Sony Cybershot F717. Problems: The 4x Floppy Drive that is in the Mavica seems to destroy the floppy disks much faster than a standard pc floppy drive!

Prima toestel. Schitterende foto´s en erg handzaam toestel. Problems: Floppy geeft te weinig opslagcapaciteit.

Great camera but shows its age now. I have used this camera for a couple of years. It has a 1.2 megapix intepolated image. It is really a 850 megapix. The picture quality is great for what it is. I compare it favorably to some of the inexpensive 2.0 megapix cameras. The really fantastic feature of this camera is that it uses floppy disks to store the pictures. Just put the disk in any floppy drive and there you go. It is a mixed blessing. It takes a lot of disks to store high quality images. ...

I have used this camera for a couple of years now and on 4 different holidays and I have noticed that the pictures from every holiday get better as I get better at learning different things you can do with the camera. Its great for small movies to that aren't long enough to bore anybody. I have a floppy with my laptop and take that on holidays too so I don't have to take a lot of floppies with me when going away for 3 weeks which does make it great for showing off the pictures right away as ...

Spectacular the function Macro. A lot of easiness to command the several functions and programs. Your operational cost is very low (diskette-PC). I Like the possibility a lot of executing small films .MPEG. Finally, except for better opinion, a wonderful creation of Sony Mavica! I like so much of this Mavica, that introduced me in the world of the digital picture, that intend to acquire a second Sony Mavica: MVC-CD300. Problems: Screen LCD unprotected, susceptible to risks and worse damages. ...

Easy to use but I've observed poor picture quality indoors. I use the camera for documentation at work, typically in a factory setting. This is most definitely not a camera for someone looking for a 35mm replacement. It's best features are ease of use. The features are minimal and very simple, works very well for a "quick-n-dirty" approach to taking pictures, but if you're looking for something that's quick and easy that gives great pictures keep looking. The battery life with either ...

Not a bad camera all around. I paid too much for it and then the prices went down, so I feel sort of taken. Otherwise, it has performed well overall. Just don't leave it on the couch when you leave for vacation and then remember it 45 mins. up the road. I am now looking into the new sony disc cameras. Wish me luck! Problems: None so far. Easy enough for the kids to use. (just make sure they don't leave it home.)
