This was my second camera after owning an Epson PhotoPC 500. Same resolution and had a zoom lens and disk storage. But that's about the only advantage. This is and remains the only camera buying mistake I've ever made. Disappointing images with poor colour reproduction and lacking in saturation, noise, poor dynamic range. Erk. Compared to the Epson (which was over a year earlier) this was a pile of junk. I wasted several thousand shots with this camera and only wish I'd either stuck to the ...

I have owned this cameraa for over three years and found it be dependable and great fun to use. The low pixel raring does not have any major problem if you keep the prints to 6" x 4". The battery charging is simple and reliable and overall the camera is very easy to use. Good value generally. Problems: Low light conditions produce hazy pictures and close ups require static bases.

I have used this camera every day for about 3 years now. I am a real estate appraiser in Minnesota. I have found this camera to be very easy to use, I usually borrow it at family gatherings and let the kids us it. For appraisal work it has been very dependable. For my work the Wide angle adapter is a must. Problems: Disks tend to give errors after about a month of continous use. The batteries will indicate that they are dead low prematurely after a year, I found that I can continue to shoot ...

I bought this camera to take eBay auction pictures and for sending pics thru email and it is PERFECT for that. I like a lot of zoom and this has 10x OPTICAL. It will shoot close enough to fill the screen with a stamp or a coin in sharp detai. My wife saw how easy it is to operate and practically stole it from me. She is not intimidated by it. We like the way it operates using ordinary floppies for storage and we get about 20 shots per disk. Similar to a roll of film, but cheaper. If you ...

Great starter cam, but I outgrew it fast. The 640 x 480 resolution is great for web use, but I needed more. The battery system is unbeatable, so stuck with Sony for my next digicams. I now have a DSC-D700 and DSC-F55. Photos taken with the 71 are often grainy, and fine detail more than 14 to 20 feet from the camera is usually lost. If you're in the market for a beginner camera, and intend on using it for the web the FD71 is one of the best solutions. However, if you need to print... look ...
