A easy to use camera. Takes very good pictures. A good point and shoot camera. Good for someone who knows nothing about taking pictures.

Generally pretty happy with the camera, although I have nothing much to compare it to (it was my first digital camera), except for the problem below. Problems: While using the camera in Cambodia, about 11 months after purchase, the backlight on the LCD died - I assumed due to the high humidity. On returning to Canada, I returned the camera for a warranty repair (component failure within the 1 year warranty, no misuse of the camera). Sony claimed that the warranty was void due to 'water ...

Results and ease of use are very good. There are some interesting shooting modes instead of a lot silly scenemodes Image quality is excellent for a camera of this size and cost. Noisy at ISO400 and above, but as good as my Pentax istDS with kit lens at iso100/200. Flash is good, focus speed is good, shot-to-shot times are OK. Feels very solid and looks great. Overall I'm very happy with it. Problems: For pixelpeepers and special needs I ALWAYS recommend to shoot 100 ico - with every camera.

I have always been partial to Sony electronics. I purchased a Sony Cybershot 4.1 megapixels DSC-S85 digital camera back in 2001. This camera turned out to be a gem. The qualty of the pictures is pretty owesome, although back then the cameras were still pretty bulky. With that being said, in 2006 I started to look for a replacement camera, only because of its size, I needed a more compact camera. After some research and since I was so satisfied with my original Sony digital camera, I ...

I bought my kid the W50. Told my brother to get the W70 for 20 bucks more. Put it on P mode. Make color rich. Sharpness all the way up. Set it at 100 ISO. The W50 has 80 iso. Use flash to fill in shadows out doors. Take red eye off and fix pics later with photo program. Red eye makes people walk away as the flash twinkles to reduce their pupil size. For video, set the focal length to infinity of what ever distance you think a close subject is. It will stop the constant blur then focus as the ...

I've been sold on Sony color processing from prior experience and wanted a point & shoot pocket camera to get ultra-crisp images in many settings. Pros: The DSC-W70 fits nicely in a pocket and takes great outdoor photos and videos. Problems: 1. Indoor photos are not clear despite 2 months of experimentation with settings for focus-lighting-AF illuminator. Big disappointment. 2. It's way too easy to change flash or macro settings inadvertantly due to position and handling of control ...

I got this as a gift for Christmas. I couldn't take a clear pciture. Everything was blurry, or grainy, or just way out of focus. I took it back to get looked at and didn't get much help. Soney wanted to charge me to service this brand new camera. I have nothing good to say about it. I ended up taking it back for a refund and found one that works much better. In fareness to the camera, they think I just got a bad one. But I did some research and found that sony is famous for blurry ...

My third sony camera. Pros: small well-build, almost instant start up. Large LCD. Decent battery life. Good AF speed. Cons: quite noise under low light or any iso above 200. Wide angle large area corner soft, noise and vignetting. No zoom during movie mode. No manual mode. Problems: Beside wide angle and noise issues. The rest are fine.

Ok this is a little marvel! what a nice constructed camera and incredible optics for a P&S , I use it as a backup for my Canon Rebel XTi and it really competes with the DSLR in terms of sharpness and Image quality. I am a fan of Canon and I have been using A80 and A95 bur definitly Canon doesn´t have a mini like this . It´s verycompact and its metal contruction makes me feel safe in the field. I recomend this camera!! Problems: no problems yet
