Construction is superb, with the productive aluminum casing protecting against most wear and tear. I have dropped the camera from five feet onto concrete surfaces, leaving practically no mark. The feature set is decent. Manual and auto focus, but no complicated controls. Image quality is excellent - this 2.0 MP is perfect for all the 4x6's you could ever want. I'm still impressed with shots I took as a beginner. Very, very easy to use. After a few shots, you'll be photographing like a pro! ...

Actually I've got 45.000 shots tacked with my Sony, I'm really happy with it, I bring it to all my travels (Roma, Egypt, EE.UU) as a second machine, and I've take great pictures on all that places, Now I can imagine my live without my pocket cam....

I have also now had my U20 for a year now...and it has been the perfect 2nd camera and travel camera. I bought this with my F717 for those times I just wanted a small point-and-shoot...money very well invested. Pictures are quite good, camera is immensely simple to use, and quality is near-perfection. Problems: No problems at all. Would love to see Sony continue to support the U-line of cameras and create a 3.2 or 4MP version of it, or possibly work on a better waterproof case solution ...

Have had this camera for almost a year now...taken well over a thousand pics. Absolutely love it for what it is: a convenient (small) and easy to use back-up. The pics are quite acceptable and have captured many moments that would have been lost if I had to dig out my larger cams. Extremely well made...I recommend it highly. Problems: none

I bought this digcam because I needed a small single-hand use camera for my bike touring shots (while riding) and also needed immediate start-up with no delay. This camera fills those needs. Indeed, I like it enough that I use it pretty much everywhere now - on hiking trips and quick snaps. Image quality is very good. Connectivity and functionality with my computer is as easy as it can get. Actually, my Nikon D-100 software is what I use to view my images. Even the cable is interchangeable.

Nice and small camera to carry, but tempermental as far as lighting. Moderate sun is the best, it doesn't handle a tiny bit of shade or too much sun well. Subject comes out looking further than actual distance when images are uploaded, must be within 8 feet of subject for good proportion. Has very strong flash, especially for a tiny cam, great flash. Image quality can be good, but results are sporatic, I am guessing because of the tiny lens. It's a good camera for it's intended purpose, but ...

Just got it. I have a S602 as primary camera, and wanted a secondary point and shoot that I could slip in pocket. This camera rocks! 2mp is fine and now I wont miss those shots we all miss because we left the camera at home. I found a cell phone case that fits it perfect and it sits on my hip all day now. Problems: I wish the movie mode was better. My S602 does 640X480 30fps with sound, so the U20 is quite a step down. Wish macro mode was better.

Nice "party toy" to shoot some friends on party, disco etc. The "night shot" feature is usefull but the expore time is too long then. The image quality is quite OK outdoor. Indoor it has only about 50% AF accurancy. If the AF fails, it presets on the close distance(pity not the far distance). Extremely small - that's nice in that case. Problems: AF at low light conditions fails very often.

I first saw that U20 in a shop and I wasn't even thinking of buying any still camera(I'm a fan of DV-cameras...). I went back home and checked some user's comments and price level and then back to the shop. After a few hundred of pictures I think that I got just the camera I wanted - easy to use and carry and enough quality! Greetings from Finland and the price was 199 euros! Problems: No real problems. Recharger is quite slow, but 2 sets of batts help. Should have audio with video...

Very fast camera for snapshots! Also very light and VERY good looking! The pictures come out just OK. They are overall quite grainy because of the harsch sharpening and Auto ISO. Auto ISO is 100-320 and you can't select ISO values manually. The reason for me returning this camera was Auto ISO and the very small and contrast-less/overly bright LCD. Maybe the picture resolution also, 2 megapixels feels a little limiting when having used 5 megapixels for a while. So I will now buy a DSC-P32 ...
