I bought it for a 6 year old. it's an awesome little camera for someone who doesn't really know what they are doing. My little baby loves photography, but I want to teach her more and I'm not about to let her take my nikon D100 or sony dsc-s70. This will hopefully teach her well and not break in ten minutes. Problems: feature set's a little weak, no zoom.

I'm a new mom, so I needed a great camera in a small package. This camera is wonderful. The small screen is not that great for viewing pictures. I was very surprised of the quality of the photos after I viewed them on the computer. My husband and I took a road trip with our car club members, and I took a picture of our club president hanging out the T-Tops of his car (at least a car length away) trying to videotape the rest of the cars following. When I downloaded the picture, it looked ...

I think this camera is great. I bought it based on the size factor (as I'm sure many other DSC U10/ U20 owners have). I am impressed overall with the ease of the camera's use and the image quality (with the exception of low-lit areas in the picture that are not in focus being grainy). This can be resolved by turning off the Auto-Focus. This is an excellent camera for the value, and it's so cute, you can't help but love it! :) Problems: See above. I believe my image quality issues I am ...

SEXY! First, let me say: i'm reviewing the new brother of the U10, the 2 megapixel U20... I must admit...this camera endows the "wearer" with such a magnetism from the opposite sex, I'd have to say it's a better chick magnet than a dog! Camera build is very good but not "bombproof", but then again it isn't very heavy, so dropping it won't hurt it too badly. Features are excellently appropriate for the camera; don't expect 5-wide F-stop bracketing...red-eye reduction, portrait, landscape, and ...

I wanted a small camera to take bicycling with me. I had been using $6 throwaway cameras and later scanning in the photos. When Sony announced the U10 I ordered within minutes. I hang it on the strap around my neck when I ride, and can just grab it, flip the shutter open, and fire away on the fly. Even from this unstable platform the picture quality has been good. This camera was the perfect solution for me! Problems: 1. Can't see diddly through that little LCD screen, but that's because I d ...

I am almost 71yrs. old and have been taking photographs for 60 years. It goes without saying that I have used a very respectful assortment of cameras throughout these years. I now own probably 30 cameras in formats from 35mm to 4x5, film and some digital. However I never leave the house without the DSC-10. Reasons should be obvious. The size the cost the acceptable resolution, but most important…the portability. I have captured images, because I had camera in my pocket that otherwise I would ...

This camera is sweet! The size alone, is just too cool. Outdoor pics come out great. As soon as you press the button, the picture is taken with no delay. The construction is top notch. You must be sure to let the camera focus before you snap one off. Also, keep it very still when you take your shot. I bought this for my girlfriend thinking it was a chic camera, but I want one for myself. For a 1.3 mp it takes nice pictures... Problems: 8 Mb card is weak, Sony needs to step up when it comes to ...

I already have good equipment I bought the DSC-U10 for the convenience factor. I have modified a mobile phone case to carry it on my belt. Looks like another mobile phone therefore you are not regarded as a nut case carrying a camera everywhere. I am very pleased with the picture quality which is better than I had expected from 1.3 MP. Hard to frame picture in small screen but this is a limitation trade-off for the compact size. Batteries last well and the camera has a quality feel about ...
