Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T7

I got this camera as soon as it came out. mostly because of its size and features. The quality is great ONLY if the external conditions are good. Its horrible at night, with no flash or in and movement! too sensible for anything. If is not a bright day you can be sure of a blur picture. For it's price it is the worst deal I have ever done. Problems: no image stability at all poor images at night auto balance sucks horrible w/o flash indoors

I love this camera, and I'll be sad when I finally replace it with a newer model. I actually like the T7 better than any of the other "T" series Sony cameras. The flash is a little further away from the lens than any of the others, and the pictures are actually pretty good for such a small camera. Since it's the slimmest "T" available, you can always have it with you wherever you go. I gave this as a present to my wife who was looking for something small and easy-to-use, and that also had a little style. It has met most of her requirements and she is quite satisfied. Overall I also find the camera to be quite OK, but I do find the slide-down cover and location of the lens so off-putting as to make me actually dislike the camera. Very practical to use, mainly due to its thickness (actually to its thinness). I often put it in my shirt pocket and secure with the supplied loop around my neck. In this configuration you can allways access the camera very fast and easily without having a fear to drop it. Image quality is very good in normal lighting situations but has some limitations in low-light due to its miniature size. Problems: I had several shots showing my left hand finger. Be carefull when holding the camera!

I like the fact that you can take this camera virtually anywhere and still get 5.1MP. I can put it in my pocket while out bike riding or going out to dinner--it's extremely versatile. I also like the big screen, which I use as a photo viewer. The shutter cycles much faster than my DSC V1, which I will continue to use for manual exposures. Fortunately I didn't buy this camera. My cousin bought it to shoot candids of her kids since it is small and light. A week after she bought it she called me to ask why the pictures were "not as good as the old canon film P&S she was using". I looked at the images and they were downright awful.
