After a long absence from photography I've gotten back into it a couple years ago. Thirty years ago I bought a Slik 35D asks it served me well until a few years ago when one of the clamps cracked. So I'm looking for a replacement. I'm not as poor as I was then so I have a much bigger budget to work with. Although I'd like to keep it under $300. I read the review on here regarding the Sirui T2005 X with the G20 ball head and the Dolica LX600. I like both of them except for the foam padding....

Pretty basic question. I recently bought my first DSLR, a K3, and love it. While just reading up on lenses I happened to stumble onto a link here to DXOMark's website. I have 3 center column AF points on my K3 that are F2.8 sensitive, and my Sigma 17-50 lens is F2.8 (and what an amazing lens by the way), but according to that website, it's transmission is only F3.1. Will that take something away from the lowlight AF ability of the F2.8 points? So to state it clearly, does the lens F stop or T...

I've been waiting on DPReview to review the Canon T6s and compare it to the older Canon 70D but so far, nothing. So, I was wondering if anybody might could shed some light on this.  I am upgrading from an old Canon Rebel....a T2 or a T3, I forget which.  I tend to take a lot of sports related photography as well as landscapes and architecture.   Should I go with the T6s or the 70D? Does anybody have both and can offer up their comparison?  The specs on both cameras are very, very close,...

I have a T2 Mount adaptor for this telescope. Is there a further adaptor/ way in which to attach my camera to the eye pieces... it currently fits only to basic scope and therefore limit potential images. My camera is a Fuji XE1. Many thanks for any advice.

I am using Sony NEX-FS700 and the SELP18105G lens.  That lens is a parfocal lens so that there is no hunting or re-focusing when zooming.  However, when I try to use the latest Tamron 70-200 lens (A009), the focus point is changed significantly when zooming in or out.  It's definitely not a parfocal lens, and it's unusable for videography.  Is there any parfocal lens in the 200mm range?  On B&H, I find one made by Zeiss.  It's a 70-200mm cine lens with T2.9 aperture, but listed as US$19,900. ...

Hello.  I usually spend time on the Canon Powershot Talk forum, but I'm hoping you good folks here can possibly help.  The lens cover on my friend's T25 does not open when the lens extends.  It can be opened 'manually' but doesn't fully retract into its housing.  When the camera is turned off it closes correctly. I have tried using a compressed air aerosol to see if I can clear any debris, but no success. Anyone got any ideas?   If all else fails I've wondered about supergluing it permanently...

Hello everyone. Has anyone used both of these lenses?   I take some stills but mainly shoot video.  Looking to get a 35mmish FF equivalent lens. I know the Voigtlander is outstanding and have read many great reviews.  I have not seen too much on the Rokinon 16mm T2.2 Cine, though. I understand the light gathering capabilities of the Nokton will be greater and the Nokton will allow for a more shallow DOF.   I am guess I am looking for more the overall "feel" of both lenses. And I have not seen...
