Excellent camera with a very easy menu to follow good low light flash plus it takes an optional flash if you need one. The video is so easy to use just point and record that’s it plus you can fast download your pictures or video with the use of a memory stick floppy disk adapter MSAC-FD2M and it can be used with any computer or laptop that has a floppy drive in it and that makes it real easy. Fast download of pictures with USB cable fast rechargeable Info Lithium (NP-FM50) battery and ...

Overall a great little camera, but there are a few improvements needed. First, the camera tends to oversaturate primary colours such as red which tends to "bleed" or appear fuzzy in a picture. Indoor auto focus is slow and tricky especially if you are using a small f-stop. You will notice one person is in focus and the other is not. The camera does not have an independant "spot-Metering" button - quite the blunder on Sony's part! The optional lens adapter ring blocks the viewfinder and ...

I've been using the DSC-S70 for almost a month now, and this piece of equipment has been my constant companion. I've already catalogued over a hundred images, from just toying around to serious picture compositions. Aside from the already impressive features that this digital cam possesses, I've been impressed with it's close-up shots, which are distinct yet soft. I've played around with the cameras various focus as well as flash settings and in a nutshell the images do come out making ...

I have taken photos for years with my old Nikon. My husband gave me this one for my birthday last year and I LOVE this camera! It is lightweight, easy to use and produces fabulous pictures. Mine came set with the largest image size 2048 x 1536 and they are HUGE when downloaded and printed! I finally realized (duh!) that if you use a smaller image size you can take hundreds of photos on the 64 memory stick. I dropped mine down to 640x480 and this makes it much easier to use for email, etc. ...

I purchased this camera just in time for the Xmas holidays. (12/23/2000). I took about 100 family fun photos. I did not read the manual (I naturally aspire to using gadgets w/o RTFM) and was able to take many excellent photos...the first ones were a bit red, so I switched the white balance setting to "Indoor"...wow, what a great camera! I only had one instance of the dreaded "red eye" . I think this is a great camera for anyone who is seriuos about getting into digital photography. Also, I ...

Great camera. I've used it for 10,000+ shots. My best shots come outdoors shooting at 750-1000 shutter speed. The only way to get an acceptable shoot speed is to manually set everything I can, and that still takes longer than it should. I'd like to see an instantaneous shutter release and some sort of firmware upgrade process. I don't have any sort of problem with the memory, I use 1-64, 1-32, and 1-8 meg chip and normally run in 1280x960 The Max resolution and TIFF support is great for ...

I bought my Sony DSC-S70 in July in the USA and was quite happy with all its features and the images it produces. Since then I had to change my opinion a bit on two of the most important aspects of photography: 1. focussing and 2. shutter release, 3. moisture. Focussing with the Sony DSC-S70 is unbelievably slow - so slow that it becomes extremely difficult to focus on moving objects (and people are always moving)... to me this problem is a setback. Secondly, when you push the button for the ...

My first digital Camera, but a good pick. Many features included for the money. Quality so high, that I hardly ever use regular film anymore. An excellent buy for the first time buyer/amateur. Problems: I will need to add memory to meet my particular needs, but the camera takes over 100 pics in 640x480 mode in a high enough quality to print pictures comparable to 35mm quality
