I'm going on a cruise soon, and thinking about adding a graduated ND filter to the arsenal for my rx100m2.   I have a nice B+W polarizing filter, which does darken the sky to some extent. I could just use in camera HDR, but, I really like to have RAW images, and in camera HDR means JPG only output. I could use in camera exposure bracketing, but the entire bracket range only covers 1.4 stops.   And I'd have to learn how to use it "from memory (mine not the camera)", which is not going to...

So I can't remember if I had this problem previously.  So I'm taking a close up pic with my flash an all of a sudden I notice there's a black shadow in the lower right hand corner of my pictures.  If I use the zoom it's gone.  I took some pics on a white wall and I don't see any spots. Anyone have the same problem?  I assume it's the flash hitting the lens? Need a diffuser in this case? Just want to make sure there isn't anything wrong since it's still under warranty.  BTW, When I dial down...

Hello :) I've had my RX100Mii since August 2013 and for some reason I see quite a few of my shots going slightly blurr.  I should admit the camera has fallen off my hands onto the carpet a few times. I have a vacation coming up and hate to get some bad shots. I'm wondering if these cameras can be fixed/adjusted and how much will it cost me or if I should get the iv model. Thanks in advance for all the suggestions you may have for me. Sunny.

Yes I have done my research. I have read and watched reviews of all these 9 cameras. I'm sorry if I am asking the same question again, but I am still having a hard time choosing which camera to buy. I really need help guys. Please help me choose a camera to buy out of all these 9 cameras. Out of all these 9 Cameras, which camera is the best for me? The P610, WX500, HX90V, A5100, RX100 II, FZ200, DMC-GF7, SX60 HS, or the S9900? Which of these 9 cameras is the best in low light? I do not like a...

Aside from the hotshoe, flip screen and new BSI-CMOS sensor, are there any known differences in the functionality between these two cameras?   Explicitly I am wondering if there's extra capability for assigning functions to the control ring(s), function buttons.   Also if there are changes to items like program shift mode.   Internet searches have turned up nothing, and I'm wondering if I should consider upgrading from Alexander Whites rx100 book which I have to the rx100m2 book. Thanks in...

I just bought an RX100M2 from amazon as a warehouse deal. It came with firmware V1.00. Is that how the camera currently ships?  I understand there is a V1.10 out since early this year. And another question: when I open the battery door it doesn't pop open. If I unlock the lid it opens just a little and I have to move it to almost 90 degrees until it snaps into a vertical position.  Is that normal for this camera or is the door bent?  There is nothing obvious I could see.  The door on my nex-6...

Coming from the Canon T3, I'm used to using my Raynox and a Tamron 2-in-1, I'm interested in something more compact. I do a lot of macro shooting for bugs and stuff. What would I need to do that on this camera? Links are appreciated if you have the time :)

hey there, please don't bite my head off, I know this is a rather ignorant novice question. I fully understand the complexity of the actual technicalities, however, I'm more interested in biased opinions right now. :-) I'm going to tenerife in january and want to try and take some pictures of the night sky while I'm up on mount teide. the last time I went there, I really loved the awesome view, but my rx100m2 proved inadequate in capturing it digitally (might have been a user problem). this...

Hi folks. I have just noticed screen flickering on my RX-100 when the autofocus is depressed. There are no issues regarding the captured image however, and the flickering stops once autofocus has locked.. but with only having a live view for my image composing, I'm finding this quite distracting. Is this normal for the RX range? Cheers

Hello (also posting this on Open forum) I am looking for a camera that meets the following criteria: - compact (e.g. fits in a large pocket of jacket) - relatively large sensor for low light ability (1" or more) - some telephoto ability The Sony RX100 IV would be ideal apart from the 70mm long end which is a bit too short for me. Alternatively I could get the slightly older RX100 II which goes to 100mm (just about enough for me but longer would be better), but I don't know if I would be...
