I will update this when I have more experience, I have had the camera for a few days and am comparing it to my Olympus M4/3. The good Size, well put together. It is NOT all metal as the marketing folk claim, much of the body is plastic, but good quality, well designed and this is not an issue. I have seen the lens hood criticised - personally I like it and it is neat and fits well. Having a pop up flash is great after my Oly "sticky on" flashes. Colour and detail from the RAW files is good, ...

I have now been able to work with this camera in almost every category of shooting I do. I absolutely love this camera. I have the quick FN menu and custom buttons worked out perfectly as to be able to easily and quickly control most used items. The EVF is excellent, but seeing the the focus fluctuate live is weird. The handling is a pleasure. I initially had issues bumping the aperture ring accidentally occasionally, but changing it to clicks fixed that. The image quality is great for this ...

I concur with the many four to five star reviews already offered. Really, I'm quite impressed and pleased with this camera an many settings. Am I the only one, however, with a problem of the screen randomly going blank? While taking pictures the display can suddenly go blank for 1 to 5 seconds and then, after wiggling it around, the screen comes back. This happens with a fully charged battery. And it's not when it has sat idle for a period of time but in the middle of taking a bunch of pictures.

We needed a new digital camera for work, one that could cover a lot of bases, be able to be used by 'non-photographers' if need be as well as more experienced members of staff. Plenty of compacts that could fit the bill, but the video features had to be pretty solid as a back up to a dedicated camera, so we went with the RX10. So far it has performed admirably, and the quality of the video is just excellent - comparable to our dedicated Sony's especially at its highest (28Mbs rate). I love ...

I've had the RX10 for a few weeks now, plus I rented one for evaluation for a week. An amazingly capable camera. A few notes: I shoot exclusively in RAW so the JPEG quality does not affect me. The lens, or more accurately the lens/sensor combination, is as amazing as everybody says. After some time configuring the camera, I find it very i intuitive to use. I would say that the manual is as useless as tits on a boar, but that might be taken as a negative concerning tits or boars, both of which ...

Pro: excellent IQ (very close to Leica), very bright lenses with minimum distortion, low weight, perfect design and finishing, very reasonable price for this level of quality, in-camera charger. IS work very well at 1/30. Cons: auto zoom - slooow. This is only deficiency. I would prefer manual zoom. AF speed is average (1 sec), but not worse than majority of same class cameras. This is great camera "one-for-all-cases".

I'm a big fan of fixed lens cameras (especially so in the modern era), with my ultimate favorite thus far being the Digilux 2 and LC1 (same camera, different shell). And I use both currently quite often. I love a high quality fixed lens camera with awesome optics, manual controls, and build quality. I'm a sucker for them. Sony's R-1 was an excellent camera, but there were a couple of things that really bugged me about it. The build quality of the body (the plastic body of mine warped in ...

After I purchased this camera, I sold my DSLR and my superzoom lens. While giving up some in terms of image noise, it makes up for it in sharpness and focusing speed in poorly lit environments. I purchased it at a sale price, and to be honest, I don't know if it would have paid full price for it, but it was totally worth what I paid for it. Love this lens, love the handling of the camera. Can easily handle images up to 3200 iso without a significant drop in quality (to my non-professional ...

So far so good, I've had my Sony DSC-RX10 for about four weeks now and I like just about everything about it, though my only big gripe is that the battery doesn't last very long. I also bought a Vivitar HD3-43 0.43x Wide Angle Conversion Lens with 62mm thread mount and it works well, though there is some slight vignetting, but nothing that can't be cropped out in post.
