My second Sony camera, bought in Jan 2005. It looks a bit cheap, with lots of plastic, and it was actually cheap, but I took more than 10,000 snaps with it, traveled everywhere in various difficult conditions and it still works fine, just like the DSC-P72 I had bought in 2003. Beware: after 9999 shots, the picture's number is reset to 1, despite the presence of a … useless … extra digit. The camera is light and fits easily into jeans’ pocket thanks to its shape, but doesn't offer a very good ...

I had this camera as a CHRISTmas gift from my wife, and so far I found it really good. I'm impressed with the quality of pictures, it will be better to have a better capacity of memory stick, at least 128mb will be okay, i'm planning to get a 256mb or higher memory stick. Problems: LCD is quite bit small.

Good value for money. I dont think you can get better for what you are paying. Sharp pictures, fast, easy to use even if you want to change settings. I had this camera for the past 5 weeks and never did any touch up to the pictures, only for red eye just two times. I got a 512mb memory and it is great, enough for video and pictures for a days shooting. Do not compare this camera with an SLR but I can assure you that you will get great pictures even if you are new to photography. Problems: None

I have been using this camera for past 6 months and had shot more than 1000 Photos. Pros: 1) The look is amazing and I like the feel of the camera. 2) Lot of modes are available and are easy to understand and navigate. 3) I bought this at a offer with 512 MB card for 300$. Lot of memory. no worry about deleting pictures & Unlimited movie shooting and I had no worry about running out of space 4) Battery. Really amazing life. enough warning before drain and spares battery is much cheaper. After ...

This is definitely the best cheapish consumer digicam I've used. The image quality is very high with a very sharp image across the frame at all settings, and the camera is fast and easy to use. It's compact, well-finished, and has good battery life. Contrary to what a previous reviewer suggests, it's possible to set both aperture and shutter mode when you switch to manual, which makes it superior to many consumer cameras in this respect. Problems: No problems at all. Ideally the lens would ...

I am very pleased with the Sony DSC 73 it can do everything I want and more. The build quality is excellent. The reason I picked this camera is because it was the cheapest in the store that had sound for less than £130. But when I got it home I was very pleased with the quality, also I liked the fact that on automatic picture taking its on the highest quality (4M/Fine) unlike some cameras which are set at standard quality every time you remove the batteries, which brings me to the clock, ...

I bought this camera in an auction at a price that is 20% lower than canon a80. this fact along with all other criteria makes this camera best value for money. I enjoy the manual capabilities of this camera ( can set shutter speed up to 30 sec), battrey life (supplied with the camera along with charger) is great, best response time ,easy to use, fills like it is very well built (massive body, metal tripod socket, automatic lens cover) Problems: expensive memory (only supplied with 16mb), small ...

This is a very good camera to comparing price to features ration. Picture quality is excellent. Problems: Photos taken looking at view finder is not exactly the same as what we see. It add more of the at the borders. It is adviced to take photos looking at LCD pannel

I looked around for a second camera to complement my Sony F717 and found the P73 an excellent buy...even in Canada where prices are HIGH! After purchasing the P71 P&S for my wife, I tried two other similar priced cameras, Fuji and Canon and settled for the P73. In spite of not having a Zeiss lens, the photos are great...sharp and true color. In the 4M I can print 81/2 x 11 and the 4x6 and 5x7's from my Canon printer are excellent. I may go up to the P100 later, but so far I see no reason ...
