Hello.. I bought my wife the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P73 after reading reviews from another website; I’m a Fuji man myself. Anyway I have noticed that the shots all lack punch and appear to have a colour cast.. I was expecting better from Sony! Problems: Handles bright days appallingly; to much distortion with Lenz. Grass or sand comes out terrible and the skin tones are anything but natural.. I’m very disappointed with this camera; I have seen cheaper models do better with less effort.

When you are limited in flexibility, you end up with poor quality pictures, even if you have a lot of resolution. This camera does not allow you to select the aperture nor the speed. The only way to do manual focus is by entering a distance, eg. 1 meter, in a field. The predefined modes are very discutables. There is a 'candle' mode, a 'beach' mode and a 'soft' mode but no portrait mode. If you want to adjust the white balance or lock the exposure, you have to browse through menus using tiny ...
