Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P73

I acquired this camera back in 2004 and gave my wife the P92 we already have. Even though I have a D90 and D300S I still use it today as I have the 40M marine pack for it. It is slow to respond and shoot, although faster than the P92, however it took and still takes better pictures than my current W115 or my sons W220. Considerando-se que a camera não é profissional, é feita para uso amador, ela é excelente. Muitos dos proprietários que dizem que ela é ruim, certamente são tão leigos que devem acreditar que pelo fato de ter 4mp, ela deveria estar no mesmo patamar de uma D2H. Hello.. I bought my wife the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P73 after reading reviews from another website; I’m a Fuji man myself. Anyway I have noticed that the shots all lack punch and appear to have a colour cast.. I was expecting better from Sony! Problems: Handles bright days appallingly; to much distortion with Lenz. Grass or sand comes out terrible and the skin tones are anything but natural.. I’m very disappointed with this camera; I have seen cheaper models do better with less effort.

I got this camera an year back and extensively used it under all modes. I am disappointed with the camera and the pictures are not up to quality. I compared the photos with canon and olympus of the same megapics and they are simply amazing. Apart from the quality of the pics, there are exposure problems. Most of the photos are under exposed. never one to not try out a sony, , this was the worse Sony I ever tried out. What a mess of a camera. Horrible photos Problems: Usual problems with small cameras.I was not particularily impressed with detail outside at times because of noise. This is not Zeiss lens. I bought this camera about 2 months ago and have shot just over 1600 pictures with it. Not a lot, but enough to give me an overall feel for the camera. Overall the images are fairly good, but it seems that the JPEG compression is sometimes quite noisy and the images get fuzzy. I had this camera as a CHRISTmas gift from my wife, and so far I found it really good. I'm impressed with the quality of pictures, it will be better to have a better capacity of memory stick, at least 128mb will be okay, i'm planning to get a 256mb or higher memory stick. Problems: LCD is quite bit small.

Good value for money. I dont think you can get better for what you are paying. Sharp pictures, fast, easy to use even if you want to change settings. I had this camera for the past 5 weeks and never did any touch up to the pictures, only for red eye just two times. I got a 512mb memory and it is great, enough for video and pictures for a days shooting. Do not compare this camera with an SLR but I can assure you that you will get great pictures even if you are new to photography. Problems: None
