Compact, well designed camera. Superb transfer-rate using Memory Stick Pro. Package includes 2pcs of 2100mAH battery. Mini battery charger is very useful. Additional of 3months on top of the 1 year manufacturer's warranty will be given if register on-line. Picture quality is sharp, thanks to the 14 bit DXP as compared to most of the other brand cameras using only 10 bit. Problems: Rubber dust cover for the USB port is filmsy and cheap looking (spoilt the entire design). Startup time for the ...

This is my first digital camera and I've never been much into photography before, but with a young daughter I kept thinking "I wish I had a camera right now", so I finally got one. The image quality is fantastic and it's very, very easy to use with a great, simple menu system. The auto focus is brilliant and there's lots of features like low, normal or high flash setting, red eye reduction where the flash pulsates a few times before taking the pic to let the eyes adjust to the flash, black & ...

Great little camera. Easy to use great photo's. For me the size of the camera made up my mind, small enough for the pocket but not too small to feel like a toy. Easy to take skiing or fishing, take more batteries and definitly take more memory sticks. So easy to use we could do with another one in our house. Problems: Wish there was a setting for quicker shutter speed. 16mb stick a joke but a starting point

Great little point & shoot camera for the price. Delivers very good pics for up to 8X10 prints. Couldn't get any easier to use, just set to auto & point & shoot. Comes with it's own (albeit slow) battery charger. I was torn between the Canon A70 and the Sony & what swayed me towards the Sony was the fact that a lot more users liked the Sony than liked the Canon. Mpeg movie length is only limited by the size of the memory stick you have in the camera (some other cameras limit you to 2 minutes ...

I had 3 digital cameras at the same time, Canon A70, Nikon 3100, and the Sony P72. The Sony won hands down the LCD screen on the Canon and the Nikon are so bad that you can not tell if you have a soft pic or not, but the sony screen is so sharp you know what the pic really looks like. Sony also comes with 2100mAh batteries and charger the other two don't. Sony also had the best pics. And my view on the 5 MP is it takes up twice as much space on your memory and the 3.2 MP will print the ...

The Sony DCS P-72 This is my first digital camera. Although adequately satisified with this camera, I should have opted for a more professional, non point&shoot camera. Though, you can force the p-72 to do most things manually, even shutter speed. Pros *Good image sharpness *Good metering & color balance *Excellent macro ability/sharpness *Fast AF *Buffer for 11 continious shots at max res/Q. *No noticeable shutter lag! *Good array of secondary functions (VGA movie clips, clip motion, etc ...

I have just purchased the sony p72, and had looked at many cameras before choosing this one i did compare it with the canon A 70 but i thought it looked rather cheap , i am glad i stuck with the sony, its build qaulity is excellent. the image's are sharp and look very natrual. i would say that the sony TFT screen is far the best when compared to other digital camera's of the same price. Problems: sony memory sticks are way over priced !!!!

Excellent camera. I bought my P72 in mid April, and it recently had its first proper outing on holiday. Firstly, the point-and-shoot performance is spot on. I personally always make sure my camera is on "centre" focus. I've had my pictures developed as "6x4"s and as far as I'm concerned they're indistinguishable from film, and the detail is just fab. Secondly, it's so easy to use. The most likely selections like timer and flash are only 1 button away, and if you need to go deeper there's only ...
