I have had my camera for a week now, and I really like it. I learned to use it in no time. The only thing I do not like is I cannot get it on my computer. I have spent a week on the phone, and it is still not working on my computer. Its no good to me if I cannot us it on my computer. Problems: Cannot get it on my computer. I have tryed everything. I will take it back to the store. Maybe try something else.

Being that this camera is one of the cheapest 3.2MP cams out (for the moment), I was afraid that this one might be featureless and more of just a point and shoot type. I was very happy to find a descent level of features including some manual control of your photographs. The images this cam produces are very nice in my opinion, besides some grainyness if the lighting isn't right. I think this cam is very worth the $350 I paid. Hopefully I'll get 2-3 years out of it. One thing I am not ...

Nice camera, makes good hi res pictures. Very good point and shoot camera. Ideal for most novices wanting to share pictures of good resolution over the internet, and also to have prints of them from time to time. Menu´s and functions can be learned in a day by experimenting with them. The manual is somewhat difficult to understand if you´re not in to photography, but is still very clear on using functions Problems: The charging of the batteries seems to take forever.. luckely the 2200mAH ...

The first few photos taken were crap and i felt id bought a dud. But after mucking around with some of the settings for a while the camera produced some excellent results. I think that it has the potential to be an excellent camera, provided the user is able to judge the correct settings for a particular environment. for the price the camera is very good... and will get better. Problems: none yet.

After using the camera for a couple of months now, I'm not happy with the image quality. I feel that nothing else matters, as in the end, the picture is what counts. I have taken about 900 photos with it and the vast majority of them are grainy/noisy beyond what I feel is acceptable. I have found that the sort of lighting dramatically affects the picture quality. Clear, sharp pictures are only obtained in very brightly lit conditions. Pictures taken inside with natural or artificial light, ...

I've had my p71 for alittle more than 2 months and I'm JUST now starting to figure out how to use it correctly. The first month and half of picture taking, most of the pictures I took came out horrible, but with practice, I'm learning what all the different functions really do. I think that alot of the people that have had their camera for less than a month complaining about picture quaility should just give it alittle bit more time before thinking the camera is just a bunch of crap.

Maybe just a lesson learned...perhaps extended warranties SHOULD be purchased. I've had the camera since May and loved it. Went to use it on Thanksgiving...nothing. Everything works except the shutter button. Completely dead. Maybe this is "just one of those things" that can happen to a digital camera, but I was none too happy. And since we didn't buy the warranty, Sony is charging $150 to repair it. Seems wrong to me that a company will only support it's product if you've agreed to ...
