This is a great camera for such a price, it gives you everything you need to take some nice pictures. It gives you exactly what it promises to offer. The components seem to be very robust and there is no cheap stuff used in it.

Great camera with very good price!! Can be very easy to use if its at AUTO mode, and very customizable with different programs, where you can configure ISO settings, focus, flash modes, white balance and more... The camera is fantastic to take pictures on sunny days, but its flash range is too low (2.8m). But i used to use a professional reflex camera before, and there's nothing to compare. On general, this camera is fantastic!!! Problems: The flash range is too low, but sony offers an ...

P52 is a small, fast, light and easy to use camera, but if u care of quality better spend more money or look elsewhere, check yourself: http://www.oz-design.it/DSCP52.JPG (1,5Mb!!!). Problems: Rubber Grip will break in two weeks, standard batteries will be gone in few minutes and no AC-DC plug-in (but rechargeable batteries plus charger comes included).

Good intermediate camera that will last a few years. Great for people wanting to purchase their first digital camera. Easy to use, point and shoot. Problems: - Bulky Design - Limited Zoom Capability - Flash takes a while to warm up - Close ups distorted - However, I would still reccommend this to others as a great camera for someone just starting out but wanting a mid range camera to last a while. Would definatly reccommend purchasing a 64mb memory stick or larger mainly for convenience.

My favorate features are the lengthly movie abilities, Good sound/recording, great program modes, provided software, compact and easy to use. purchase a few 128mb sticks (E-Bay for deals) and you got a perfect vacation camera. My next upgrade will be quite a while. Problems: None yet, have had only 2 weeks

Best turn-on time! Fast reactions. Very good image quality. Good menu, well-arranged setups. Lot of good features. Best value for money. I compare It with HP 735. HP have no chance. Problems: High prices of Memory Sticks and all of accessories. Long time to load up flash. Display could be in high resolution.

As mentioned in previous reviews it's the best value for money as of 06/2003. Very good image quality, works fast, nice design&good number of features. Problems: Rubber finger grip seems too delicate. Memory Stick prices are high. No quick control over redeye reduction on/off - only through the setup menu.
