This is a great camera once you figure out how to use it. I picked mine up for $200 and then bought two infolithium batteries for $60 total. The batteries are an absolute MUST! WIthout them the camera is virtually useless. Macro mode can take some incredible images, once you get the hang of it. The image resolution is very good IMO for a 2.1 MP camera. The camera is pretty slow in focusing, which sucks at times, but is very good in many other situations.

This was my first digital camera that I purchased with a an LCD screen. I've had it for almost a year now, and I'm still VERY pleased with it. Yes, the batteries that came with it, and any other AA's used in the camera will drain within 8-15 minutes (depending if LCD, Flash, etc. is used). I got an infoLITHIUM battery pack from Sony, (with charger), and that usualy lasts 75-90 minutes with LCD, Flash etc. on. Well worth the Money! Problems: Indoor use in darker environments can be a ...

Excellent pictures for a 2.0 camera if you know how to work it. Indoor photography with the flash can be tricky, but if done right (holding camera extremely still) you will have some very nice pictures. The black and white is the best I have ever seen on a similar camera. EXCELLENT LENS. Problems: Tripod mount is metal, although is placed in plastic peice that can break. Indoor flash photography takes a little skill.

This was the first digital camera that I bought. I bought it when it first came out. I really like all the features that it has to offer and for a begginer, when I bought it, it was a great camera to get started in the digital world. Since purchasing the camera, I haven't taken any pictures with film, and I print all my pictures at home. Problems: Memory Sticks seem to go on the fritz when you move alot of pictures off it to the computer. Some times I can not view a picture that I've taken ...

I was looking for a cheap cam with good features and satisfying image quality. After checking some canon and olympus models I decided that the best choice would be Sony. It provides really great quality and has good value for money. It costs about 400$ in Poland, so it's a good choice for people who aren't willing to spend too much cash and are happy with the camera's 2 megapixel sensor and image quality. Oh, and it's got really impressive macro. Problems: Some problems with noise when taking ...

This camera was my first digital camera. The image quality is good as long as you dont use the digital zoom. Plan on spending quite a bit on accessories for the camera comes with few. I ended up spending hundreds of extra dollars on this camera's accessories. It's nice that can just point and click and the pictures come out great. You must purchase a rechargable battery or else the alkaline batteries drain within minutes. Overal this camera is conveinent, durable, and worth every penny ...

This is an update of my previous reviews of the DSC-P50, this camera is awesome. I have had it since September 10th of 01 and taken about 2200 pics. I still love it even after having it for so long. I now have a 128, 64, and 32 mb memory stick and can take pics to my hearts content! The image quality is awesome, and that is printing 3x5s, 5x7s and 8x10s! All come out super. The camera is fun, convenient, simple and an all around joy to use! In the time I have had the camera I have had 0 ...

Very good image quality. Skin tone is little bit pink to me, but only needs very little adjustment by Photoshop. Exposure is good on all auto seting, only need to adjust exposure to about +0.7 f-stop when shooting large area of cloud as background. Flash is powerful enough for a small camera and flash color balance and exposure are also quite accurate with very little brown cast on shadow. The results of indoor photo with flash are much better than some Canon's entry level digital cameras ...

The camera is okay, but in order to use it you will need to buy on of those infoLithium batteries that cost at least $57.00. That's not all, you will need to be lucky enough to buy the charger (it is almost impossible to find the regular one that sells for $35.00; you will just find the quick charger QV11 which is about $150.00). Besides that, the camera works nice and has good quality. Problems: Hard to find infoLithium battery regular charger and had to buy the expensive quick charger. ...
