Got this camera on sale for $299CDN at a retail store. This cameral was $150 off, plus a $50 mfg. rebate. Great value, I feel. The 1.3MP should not be an issue for most people unless they intend on producing 8x10 reprints on photo paper. Even then, this still should not be an issue for the average user. Simple to use for the beginner, but enough features for the experienced photographer to play with. The 4mb memory stick I feel is adequate for the average user who uses the 640x480 ...

Excellent camera. Two days after I got it I accidentally dropped it in a pail of water, and it didn't work until the next day. I was glad. I live in Canada, and sometimes it won't take pictures in the extreme cold, but that's understandable. The image quality is great but for displaying the pictures on a television, more megapixels would be nice. simple but good Sony camera, no question. But instead a poor movie feature should be the better SONY STAMINA InfoLITHIUM Batterie and the Charger in the Package. Problems: even very expensive Photo batteries get hot and killed quickly through this camera.

Buy this camera only with the original Sony Li-ion battery With the provided AA-batteries the camera willonly work for a few minutes. When I returned the camera to a Sony repair center they replied with a new set of batteries and a copy of the manual that stated the battery would last about 30 minutes. When I tested it it's lasted 2!!!!! ANd there is no discussion possibel with Sony Problems: Very poor battery life

This is an excellent camera for the money. It's small enough to put in your pocket yet has the features of a larger camera. The pictures are beautiful. They're perfect for e-mailing or a web page. If you print a lot of pictures, go with the DSC-P50. Sony could've included a charger, that would've made it a perfect package. Problems: No problems at all.

Excellent camera! I am very pleased with all the features of the SONY DSC P30. The only disadvantage is the battery pack and charger from SONY is very expensive. I use AA Recharagable Batteries instead of buying SONY's battery pack and charger. Problems: None
