This camera is great. The images I get from it are way better than expected. I am a novice photographer and have found this camera to meet my needs, my only wish is that I had bought the DSC-P5 which has an optical zoon + digital zoom, unlike the DSC-P3 that only has a digital zoom. But that was my fault for not looking into it more. The camera is awesome and I love taking it to the snow with the Marin Pak and taking awesome snowboarding pictures

This is a fantastic camera, I have just upgraded to an Olympus C5050 after an 18 months of joy with my sony. I purchased my Sony for mainly taking "happy snaps" but became a little more advanced whilst being the owner of the Sony. There are very few faults with this unit, I recently returned from 2 weeks holiday and during that time was taking about 120 photos a day, in all i took over 6000 photos with this unit and it never looked like letting me down. The reason I have now gone to an ...

awesome non zoom camera for its time and the size of the lens..Totally great bargain .Has to be one of Sony's finest P cameras .I don't know if their next model zoom can produce images like this but all I can say is its a very nice camera considering everything, very impressed. Problems: Since its a bit old doesn't take great low light shots without flash .But even if It doesn't take good low light shots , any bright lights outside might make the night shots ok .I go away shaking my head ...

I spotted an open box special that someone had returned and got a nice discount from the retailer. Nothing was wrong with the unit. Everytime I use the camera I get a bit happier and happier. Especially easy to transfer images out of the memory stick directly to my Sony Vaio computer with memory stick slot.So far So good! Problems: None

Recently upgraded to the Sony, offered the best value for money by far. Seamless integration with Win XP, good build, InfoLithium batteries are fantastic. Proprietory Memory Stick is a little expensive, but bearable. Screen is rather small for those with less-than-perfect sight, and the control 'joypad' on the rear is *not* great - OK for me, but I have small fingers! Macro setting works well. I find that 1600x1200 'fine' mode is the minimum for a decent picture, which is a rather large ...

It's a great little camera that offers good build quality, beautiful compact design, fast start up and AF, very good images with beautiful tonal quality thanks to the 14-bit DxP (same as F707) and decent LCD screen. As usual for a small digicam with OVF, there is a slight offset in photos and have to resort to power-consuming LCD for correct shots. Great compact back-up or for family photos, etc. Glad I bought this as next version is only 2.0 megapix! Problems: 8MB MS is a joke. At fine mode ...

I'm a beginner with digital cameras and for the money this is an excellent camera, I would recommend it for the ease of operation, good pic quality, and a lot of features. Problems: few things I didn't like were the short batt life but you can p/u the accessory kit with the soft case, extra battery, and 32 mb memory stick, also the software sucks, I upload pics on my pc then transfer them into MS Picture it for editing.

I had this camera for more than 2 months and snapped > 500 photos and recorded > 2 hrs of Mpeg movie. Advantages of this camera: - Compact, light weight & easy to use for a beginner. (it looks nice & stylist) - Take movie without limit & with sound (limited only by storage capacity) - Clear & sharp image even in dark condition. - Pixels just high enough for enlarging print (with this price) - Uploading to PC in a second. (fast & easy) Problems: - Drain too much power when using digital zoom & ...
