I've had this camera for several years and taken it all over Europe. Auto focus isn't always reliable, and I've missed some pics, but I've also gotten some astonishingly good pictures. I took some night shots off the Eiffel Tower (and also from the ground OF the Eiffel Tower) that simply blew away the rest of my travelling companions photos. I'm not a novice, but I'm not a pro either and I was thrilled with these photos. It has a reasonable amount of manual settings too. Easy enough for a ...

I have used this camera for 8 months with very positive experiences. I have bought the camera as a point and shoot next to my F828 and it has fulfilled this job perfectly. Specialy my not so technically photo educated family members do have a lot of fun with the camera. The live histogram function gives you the possibility to add that final touch in in pictures. Sometimes (up to now appr. 2-3 times) the camera wants to use too long shutter times resulting in movement blur. Problems: Nope, ...

I'm very pleased with this camera. They could give to this little piece of miracle much manual features but I think, with all that features and options that has, an amateur user can take great shot! Problems: I think the flash light is too much sometimes, especially when you take photos from a short distance!

So far i feel quite sastify with its performance. Quick response and ease to use. Of course with the limited features we can't really do much, but i think it is good for a beginner to start with. Overall picture quality is fine. Problems: Movie mode produce noticeable sound when the camera adjust the apperature. But it is not a digital camcoder, we can't expect too much on this. Cover for USB, TV output feels fragile and easy to spoit it we didn't handle carefully.

Unlike the two previous reviewers, I've actually owned and used the camera, (for six months). Purchased it as a go-everywhere second camera, I've obtained the superb fitting hard clam-shell case designed specifically for the P10, which fits on a pack-strap on my mountainbike pack). Primarily used for sports and landscape. Dimensionally it's well suited to my application, fits the hand well and weighs only 206g. (I have occasionally taken the camera out of the case and taken a shot while still ...

Just tried this out and was not impressed at first. This is not like the f707 where you point the big lens and presto a great photo. This unit or my camera was a bit slower then I expected for shutter lag and the color balance is pretty much all over the place inside ( common for digitals?) but adjustments can be made to make it faster but you need better light with faster shutter. But the quality of photo which for many is the most important quality, is probably in the TOP three for small ...

Hello I'm from Denmark, so please be aware my english isn't perfect!! I've just bought the Sony Cybershot DSC-P12, a very fancy and cool cam. I think the camera is allround good, but still there is something bothering me. When the camera is turned on, and the "lins" is out, you can move the "lins" a few milimetres from side to side?? Is this a defect on my cam, or is this normal? Maybe other with this camera could provide knowledge for me?? Another question. When i have selected the ...

This DCam has really the best value for money for consumer level devices. It takes great and sharp pictures with very beautiful and intense colors (see problems for the greens) and has an incredible small size and price. I bought it at the Migros (local supermarket) at 2003-nov-28 for 568 CHF (350 Euros) with a battery, charger, 32 MB memory and a 2 year warranty. It's supported on Linux as an USB Mass-Storage device after a minor unusual_devs.h modification and kernel recompilation. The ...
