I had a DSC-N1, a great camera, and I compare with DSC-N2 The flash levels are too high the color contrast are not sharp ISO problem in automatic mode. The DSC-N1 was a master piece compare to the next generation N2. As a seller of digital cameras, this was the one I kept. Excellent photos, and the touch screen is about the best feature I've seen yet. I have used Canon, Nikon, Olympus and none have matched the ease and quality of this camera. Problems: none

I have had the DSC-N1, and it has been back to Sony about 4 times dealing with battery problems. Finally the mechanism that opens and closes the lens shot craps and the lens is stuck open. This thing is a lemon if I have ever seen one, and it's too bad because I like the camera.

This is a wonderful feeling and looking compact point and shoot camera. It’s a joy to use the touch screen, and you can read everything on screen quite easily in bright light, well fairly bright anyway. When its really bright I missed an optical viewfinder, and it was more a question of aim it and hope for the best, but the camera did always grab a good shot. In general, if the sun is shining and light levels are high, then automatic mode gives you the quality point-and-shoot pics that ...

Lack of photo sharpness mars an otherwise well designed and handy compact camera. The large, bright video screen is superb. The touch screen controls are well thought out and easy to use -- a big improvement over small buttons found on most cameras. Excellent battery life and attractive metal construction. The camera has a "slide show" playback that is neat. One can also doctor photos by "drawing" on them through the touch screen, but I didn't try out this feature. Some have posted ...

I have owned the T1 then the DSC N1 and now the DSC N2 my opinion is if you want a simple pocket sized camera, that takes all round good photo's this is the one. I have tried the cannons and the fugis but always come back to my Sony. Some of the things you can do with this unit are realy cool the paint option the way it saves the last deleted set of pics etc etc. I have one big gripe with the new N2 over the NI and that is Sony in their wisdom? have taken away th edate and time stamp! Very ...

I liked everything about this camera, until i started taking outside shots, with "forced flash". Almost half of them had a white halo effect just to the right, and above center. It could be because the flash is so close to the lens. It's a shame, because other than that serious flaw it seems very good. I returned the camera. Problems: White, halo effect on flash shots.

If you used a Sony before it shouldn't be that confusing using the 3'' touch screen with the similar icons for setttings. The interface is simple but super quick. You will get the joy of a pocket camera with a manual mode & a well working flash. You have the control of high aperture F8-16 in manual, perfect for landscapes provided a little tripod with you. The new light 1/1.7 sensor is better than before, with 10mps, it takes well lit photos. Problems: With flash enabled: Does not let you ...

Excellent compact camera! I've owned many Sony digital cameras before and I'll have to say, this one has the most fun features yet. It has a paint setting that lets you draw on your pictures and also has a stamp feature letting you stamp paw prints, snow flakes and other fun images on your photos. The slide show is pretty cool too, it lets you add up to four (3min or less) mp3 files to play in your slide show and also has cool picture effects in the slide show. The 10 megapixel image quality ...
