just wondering if anyone could please assist me with making the right choice of cameras, we are going on safari in South Africa in May and although I have read loads of reviews and advice where other people have asked the same question, I am really struggling to make a decision - I have listed out a basic set of 'Likes' below 1. Highish megapixel count so that I can print large pictures when we get back 2. Probably a bridge camera as I really don't want to have to carry multiple lenses or...

I absolutely love this camera & have had it for about 8 months.  In the past few days my distance pictures have been coming out grainy.  I must have changed something, can anyone please tell me what I may have done so I can undo it. See attached sample. Thank you.

Sony HX200v owners - can you help please! I have recently bought a Sony HX200v (with the 1.01 firmware installed) but I'm getting very blurry images. I've tried altering the Sharpness, Noise Control, and Saturation controls - to no effect whatsoever. I've even reset the camera back to its original factory settings - again to no avail. I just don't know what to do next and am beginning to think I've bought a "lemon!" I have a Sony HX1 which produces much, much sharper images (although it does...

Hi Everyone I recently bought a HX300 and enjoy taking pics with it. I saw some of the people using the HX100 and HX200 have Kiwifoto tubes with tele extenders and macro lenses. I saw there is a tube available for the HX300 and was wondering what brand of tele extenders and macro lenses people are using. Can the people with experience in bird photos like Aisse please help.

Hello all, I'm the owner of a Canon PowerShot S100 that I bought for its pocketable size and built-in GPS. This is a nice little camera, but it's quite weak in low light conditions. Too slow even if I don't need a very fast camera; too much noise; etc. What I'm looking for is a camera (any size) with built-in GPS and (much) better low light performance, especially regarding noise and dynamic range. Here's what I would call my shortlist : Nikon 1 AW1 Nikon Coolpix P520 Sony Cyber-shot...

I have Sony Cyber Shot dsc hx200v and am an amateur so please forgive if this is a stupid question. I like taking macro shots and I am not getting as clear as I would like.  was looking at the macro lens cl10xdschx200 that screws on with an adapter. It is 10x. What would be the benefit of my getting one? Would I be able to get better macros? Thanks

I have a question regarding exposure compensation when shooting movies with the NEX 5n especially when shooting hand-held and viewing the scene using the attached EVF. Not infrequently when shooting wildlife I don’t have the luxury of time to set the camera up in manual mode and therefore I have the camera set in Intelligent Auto. Most of the time this works just fine as I just hit the movie button and the resultant video is satisfactory. There are occasions when I would like to adjust...
