If you r a professional and you need to use large prints of your images then you should not been here complaining about HX100V here and creating confusion. Go buy a dSLR. If you are not a professional and you want to do like pro then this toy is apt for you. I have been doing extensive research on Super zooms from all major Brands but none of them was an ALL-ROUNDER like HX100V. JUST LOOK AT THESE POINTS AND THINK OF OTHER COMPETITORS ON SAME POINTS > 1- the flash range of this camera is ...

I've had the Hx100v for several months now. At first, I didn't know if I'd take advantage of the 30-day return period or keep the thing. It wasn't a very big investment, especially compared to my Nikon D7000 and bag full of lenses! I was initially disappointed when I pixel-peeped my first efforts. As always, Sony's noise reduction and sharpening are both a bit heavy-handed, and not all that effective. The sharpening left edge artifacts, but didn't particularly sharpen the image. I considered ...

I have tried its predecessor HX-1, Nikon P-500, Canon sx20is. And I bought a Sony HX100V just 10 days ago. This baby is the best in its class I think. 810mm optic zoom is stuning with its very efficient image stabilization. Image quality is good enough for a non-SLR machine. Battery life is long enough. It has a great variety of scene modes. especially twilight mode is superb to take picture in low light conditions. quick focus, tilting LCD, easy connect to pc, easy to use menu, panorama ...

I just spent 2.5 weeks traveling Ireland with this camera so I've had plenty of time to get my hands dirty. I can honestly say this camera is amazing! It's small and lightweight but still packs a 30x zoom and takes great photo and excellent video. I see tons of reviews already with lots of detail so let me try to convey quickly my impressions of this camera after some hands on time. Ergonomics: Camera is just about perfectly sized and shaped in my book. A nice big hand grip on the right with ...

The camera takes exceptionally good photos from wide angle to the outer reaches of its zoom capabilities. It actually (almost embarrassingly) compared very favorably with my Panasonic GH2. In fact in many situations the Sony's exposure was more accurate and it's sharpness and detail were very comparable to the GH2. Color, contrast and sharpness are excellent. The video is without question the best I've seen from any DSLR or DSLR-like camera. The 60p frame rate gives a fluidity to the motion ...

I have had many cameras, I currently own a DSLR Nikon D300s, and Canon SX10 (my carry/do all cam) The new Sony is a keeper I must say. I have been searching for over a year for a replacement for my Canon SX10, something that had a little more reach and HD video and the Sony is it. The video is smooth and crisp is adjustable, and looks really good for a P/S camera. I can now just grab the Hx100v and go, instead of debating whether I will need either my canon or HD canon camcorder, if I cannot ...

For me, it is the best bridge-camera, I ever owned, and there were a lot of: S6500fd, FZ20, FZ38, FZ45, FZ100, HS10, SX20, SX30. Positives: + excellent IQ, best I've ever seen from a compact camera in this zoom-range + very fast AF + the lens: sharpness, contrast, colors are excellent + very good in-camera processing (no distortion, nearly no CA) + very useful zoom range + very short pre-focus lag (see image with the ball below) + good shot-to-shot time + very good high ISO performance + very ...

Have had this camera for a week now, and i must say the camera is excellent, the IQ is fantastic it focus quickly and zoom quickly. Having the carl Zeiss lens really helps, the colours and detail are really good. The battery life is excellent, i shot 450 photos using the LCD, before i had to charge the battery up. The write times are quick to card, for stills images, this is one of the best cameras i have had to date well done sony. I have had loads of DSLRs and lens, but i rather have this ...
