Totally agree with Mauro Girella, this camera is for the beginners, those who always want to have a professional camera but can not afford the same. This Camera gives you the best in its segment and price and a feel of professional camera..:) Have been using it for more than a year now and am really more than satisfied with its performance and quality.

I've had this camera for a year now and it has served me well. I've used it mostly for events and concerts where low light seemed a problem, but it became an advantage, especially with the advance sports shooting option; it captured the movement perfectly and without any delay. Problems: The images seem a bit grainy and I have not yet found how to change that.

After reading all the forums and discussions i ve bought H50 approx. 8 months ago. I was searching for a camera to take good photos sometimes to take videos. So most of the times it does exactly what i want. But sometimes i say to myself why i haven't buy a SLR. Anyway Problems: I like most of its features. Maybe it would be nice to add panorama feature as in SX1 now. Also my old Canon S3 has it. Also it is not too useful. While changing manual settings u have to look at screen and that takes ...

Happy with this buy... Zoom is a good tool... :) The quality of the picture is not as good as the V1, 828, or 707. But for the price! I think the compression pixel image in jpg is a bit "poor" compared to the apparatus I own above" I use it a lot compared to the Alpha 200 i own too... Mode "easy" is very "powerful when you need to be fast. Zoom ×86 in VGA mode... good stability. My note will be 8.5/10 Using this camera since a few months now and thousands of pictures taken... Problems: Hard ...

WOW - Without doubt, Sony DSC-H50 had been the best extended zoom camera money could buy for some time. The competitors either had poor, although longer zoom lenses with aberration/distortion problem (Olympus, Fuji, Nikon - 8/10) or their image quality was not upto the par (Panasonic - 8.5/10). The features of this camera are well thought of, handling is superb, the Carl Zeiss lens is sharp along the entire 15X range, 3 inch angulated, clear and bright LCD is best of the bunch, flash is ...

I've been using this camera for 4months. I've found it very light, easy to handle, with a friendly and intuitive manue, powerfull zoom. This is to me the right compromise for a traveller/tourist because when you travel you do not want to bring pounds and pounds of technical equipment, you do not want to go thru never-ending menues, you do not want to carry a prof. tripod (the steady image device is surprisingly efficient!), but you want however to get higher quality images. I appreciated ...

For the absolute beginner, this camera follows the 80/20 rule. 80% of the features are used by 20% of the users of this camera. However for more seasoned prosumer camera users this camera has a wealth of options. I like all the features especially the movie mode. This camera has been a wonderful way to share video with family. Now for the most important part: image quality. The images follow the typical Sony disney color (over saturated reds and blues). However with some adjustments the ...
