I have had my MVC 400 for over a year now and I love the quality of pictures. I also like having all the manual controls. It was well worth the money and until the Digital SLR's really get professional quality I'm sticking with my CD400. The lens is awesome. Macro is awesome. Problems: Turn the camera off to save battery power, you better not have a quick picture you want to take, start up time is slow ... the shot is gone before you are ready. Shutter speed is great for action but you ...

This is my first real camera in 25 years. I purchased it a couple of weeks ago but haven't encountered any problems. I will be taking many action shots and I think this camera does great with the burst mode. Reading the manual can be a bit confusing and a bit overwhelming for a beginner -- with the help of family and friends I'm sure to get great shots.

Great camera! Upgraded from the Sony FD95, and have found the 400 to be an excellent choice. I travel alot and find that the 400 travels well and with the CD's, I can pick them up in any city without having to search for an electronics store to buy the memory sticks. Problems: No problems but would like to see a higher MP, maybe a 5 or 6MP CD camera.

This is a great product for the user that needs quality features and great photos at a reasonable price. The storage disk is great and the battery life is very good. I create websites and I use this disk camera to eliminate the scanner. This product saves me a lot of editing time! I use to spend a lot of money on photo processing and not getting the right shot I was looking for do to bad light or ? This Sony CD400 is great! I can shoot as many shots as I want and still have plenty of photo ...

I am a commercial real estate appraiser and use the CD-400 on a daily basis in my work. Its great optics and auto/manual exposure options allow me to capture my subjects quickly and easily in the most difficult lighting. The mini CD removes the concern about memory capacity and the battery life is excellent. This camera is a real "workhorse" for me! Problems: None encountered.

This is my second Mavica. The first was the FD83, the floppy disk version. I loved that camera and was not certain that any camera could impress me as well as that one did. I was wrong. This new camera is fantastic! The pictures it takes are only slightly worse than you'd get with a film camera. The features are easy to use and well set-up. I highly recommend this camera for anyone who has a little knowledge of photography. The aperature and shutter speed settings are easy to use and ...

I have used this camera for only a couple weeks but have taken hundreds of pictures. The main attraction for me was the CD media. I took a picture of my kids in the Tucson, Arizona desert (lots of detail in the surrounding plant life), printed an 8x10, framed it and put it in my office. Everyone that sees the picture is amazed (as am I) and surprised that it is from a digital camera. I used an SLR extensively 30 years ago. This has the same look and feel (like a real camera). Autofocus ...

I have had for 4 days been experimenting and trying all features. Manuel easy to read and understand. originally looking at the 717 but decided on the cd400 after using I feel I made the right decision. At first I wasn't sure but have changed my mind. Still learning camera and fuctions but very happy at this time. Problems: A little slow recording to disc but getting used to it and not a major problem at this time.

This is my first digital camera. I've used it for about six weeks and I am more than satisified with its performance. I find it veery easy to use and the pictures. have been excellent. I have arthritis in my hands but find the size and configuration of the camera easy to use. Problems: I had trouble installing the software. I finally contaacted the software manufacturer. What looked to be a foreign language actually were symbol fonts. I transfered them to floppies and then uninstalled them. ...

I'm completely satisfied with this camera. I wanted a camera that would take great shots, support manual use of the controls, as well as quick point+shoot, and the storage media is great for travelling as well as being an auto-archive. Also, I wanted a camera that wouldn't outlive its usefulness. With the CD400, I have a great Zeiss lens, access to all the controls I'd ever use (and probably a couple more), all in the feel of an SLR (and not a toy). Problems: None. And the software isn't ...
