Pros: Excellent image quality, features, and camera construction. Cons: Shutter lag unless you can use the prefocus on a subject that is not rapidly changing its distance toward or away from your camera. Problems: None

I'VE HAD MY CAMERA SINCE MAY. THIS IS MY FIRST DIGITAL CAMERA AND I MUST SAY THE BEST CHOICE OUT OF ALL THE DIGITALS I WAS CONSIDERING. THIS ONE IS SUPERIOR IN QUALITY, USE AND PHOTO CLARITY. I ADDED AN EPSON STYLUS PHOTO 1280 PRINTER TO MY SYSTEM AND HAVE PRODUCED ABSOLUTELY STUNNING PRINTS OF PORTRAITS, CLOSE-UPS AND LANDSCAPE SCENERY !!!!! I HAVE HAD SEMI-PRO PHOTOGRAPHERS DROOL OVER SOME OF THE PRINTS I HAVE DONE AND REALLY HAD TO CONVINCE THEM THEY WERE NOT PRINTS FROM NEGATIVE FILM !!! ...

I have had my camera for about a year now and I think is one of my best investments. I have been using a 35mm for about 20 years and I think the picture is very comparable. I love it and everyone that sees it or uses it wants one. I have had three others buy one after using mine. Problems: Having to finalize and initialize the CD can be a pain, also some time has a delay when taking the pic and you may not end up with the moment that you were wanting.

Did buy the camera in juli 2001 and have made almost 1900 pictures with it yet. Image quality is really perfect. Printing the pictures on HP (did try it on 3 different models) is not that good, too much blue in it. But when done on Epson (Stylus Color or Stylus Photo 1290) it's perfect. When compared with the original there are no differences. For example, a chair with lots of color in it, printing op Styles Photo and holding the print next to the chair, no difference in color. Problems: No ...

I got this digital camera Aug 31 of 2001 and today is July 19 of 2002. I am very satisfied on the ease of use and enough quality to overfill my screen with qualtiy but recognizable noise at some pictures. I've taken 10 discs of pictures and I was able to develop all the pictures that was shown on the LCD except one that can make reading the CD difficult. It was a dinosaur fossil in Berk literally. I uploaded one cd of jpeg in like at most 5 minutes. The LCD is accurate to whats viewed on ...

Having come from a normal SLR camera direct to this digital - there has been an acute learning curve. I have found the image quality excellent - and in low light good. I personally prefer manual controls - rather than the almost mandatory - these days - camera built for the dummy. The manual controls on this unit are not the easiest to use. Perhaps the most obvious limitation I have found is the fixed focus distances under 500mm. In low light the apperture opens and the depth of focus is ...

The camera is very expensive in Europe, about 2 times the price you pay in the United States. I payed about 1500 € for this camera (+/- 1900$), which is currently still the standard price, and this purchase happened in august 2001. After one year purchase, sony has released the CD400, and this for the same price! The CD400 specs write about additional functions that I miss so much right now, like "conditional writing" to the CD after taking a picture. However I still think that my camera is ...

The camera works good in almost any light. I like that it burns cds instead of a mem stick. This makes it an excellent travel camera. Problems: They could have made the internal buffer a bit bigger so that the time between shots would be smaller.

I got the viewing contraption for the LCD of the Mavica CD, 200 in my case, but it is apparently identical, within 3 days from my dealer .
