Hello all, I have a Nikon D7100 for that the last few months. All are good with my Sigma F/2.8 17-70mm. However, I just got myself the F/2.8 70-200 and that's where some problem starting to surface. From time to time, when im using the 70-200, playback won't happen after i take a shot. Sometime it works, some times it doesn't. This never happened with the 17-70mm before. Secondly, sometime it doesn't the body doesn't seem to know what the aperture value is on the lens. i will have to "twist...

I am looking to add to my lens collection as I am starting to pick up some more weddings to photograph.  I was thinking of getting the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 for my Sony A77 and A55 and have been comparing this to the Tamron equivelent, to which I find the Sigma tends to come out on top.  It was also suggested to me to get a fixed lens, about 85 or 100mm but can only afford one at the moment. I would appreciate any advice/experience anyone has to either these options or any others on the order of...

With my D5100 it wasn't much of a question: the camera was way lighter. Yet, with the D600 (and it has a grip as well) it's a lot more balanced. I'm actually afraid carrying it holding onto the lens might break the lens mount but obviously holding it on the other end, the D600, would make it pretty unbalanced. I'm normally using a Blackrapid Yeti strap (the one meant for 2 bodies but it's perfect for that combo) and I'm unsure on how to balance this (which side should be further down or...

Hi all, This question has been asked before but I don't think the Tamron USD was available yet. To the owner of either of these lenses, can you share your thoughts please?Personally I like Tamron because I had a bad AF experience with the Sigma 15-70mm F2.8. But the Sigma HSM telephoto lens is a few hundred bucks cheaper than Tamron. Thoughts? Thanks../Ken

I am about to place an order for SIGMA APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM.  Can somebody with experience with this lens give me some feedback as to how it compares with the Nikon Version.  There is a lot of price difference and I am wondering if it really justifies going with Nikon version ?  Thanks.. --Alex

I am a semi-proffessional photographer and in preperation of shooting my first wedding this summer I am purchasing some new lenses. I'm a bit bogged down by all of the choices but have narrowed my long-distance lens down to 3 choices: the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 constant ap throughout zoom with the optical stabilization system, the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 constant ap without IS and the same with the IS. Does anyone have any experience shooting between the Sigma with OS and the Canon without IS? Is...
