I have used two of these lenses for about six years now since I got my Nikon D70. They have served me extremely well, been fairly robust, and taken great macro photos to 1:1 (1.5:1 with the crop factor?). Build is good, it has guidelines for focussing, a focus limiter (that I seldom use), and finds focus most of the time.
