I normally use only m43 prime lenses but i am finding it more and more of a bind to swap lenses so wanted a "do everything lens" that i can keep on my camera and use for most occasions as it covers such a wide range, no zoom lens can compete with a prime for pure quality but this lens does do a very very good job and is far and away more versatile! infact i havn't had it aff the front of my camera since! here is a link to my photos so you can compare for yourselves www.flickr.com/markgill all ...

A lens with good quality, exceptional for beginners in the world of photography. Multi-Function lens and they are cheap too. Good for those who do not want to walk with two lenses in a backpack. Problems: It is not perfect and has some limitations but for their price... They are a safe investment

Capable lens if used within it's limits Problems: Barrel distortion is enormous at the edges when used at 18mm You need to make sure you have no faces (which get stretched, curved and flattened) or straight lines near the edges
