Does anyone has the +3 and +5 version of the marumi DHG 200 achromat and can share some comparing pictures? I am thinking about getting one and would like to know which of these is best suited for the DP3 Merrill. Meanwhile i have to crop:

Would it be realistic to use the SD15 or SD1 + long teles for birding? Is the AF & AF tracking fast enough? After getting hooked on DP3M,thinking of a SD 15 or SD1 body as IR is easy & practical, & wonder if it would also be good for birds? Or are the ISO limitations a big minus!!as now I use ISO 800-1600 with F4 teles. Thanks for any help --LOVE LIFE & LAUGHTER

Hi just got the Sigma AC adapter & plan to use my USB battery pack with it.I see the Sigma outputs 4.5v, and all my USB batteries are 5v at different Ampere... will I hurt the camera by using 5v instead of 4,5?  or do I need to put something inline to reduce the volts?  .5v can't make so much difference--or Thanks --LOVE LIFE & LAUGHTER

Since the price drops on the Merrills are so tempting, thinking of getting one..either DP3 or Quattro what if any advantage is there with the Quattro? and can the DP3 Merrill be used handheld? have read tripod is really needed.. my main use will be nature, landscape & product shots, probably mostly in B&W,as miss doing film B&W.Have read Sigma is great for that and maybe if I like the DP3, I get a DP1 as well? or Quattro know the limitations of these..no BIF ;) etc.. no ISO over 100... and can I...

I'm using a DP3M and a DP2M And I just Love the IQ. For travel and low light I rely on my E-M5.As I didn't have the opportunity to use the A7 I'm curious to hear your opinions: Would the A7 deliver an equivalent IQ while providing the versatility of an OM-D?

I've been looking for full res samples of the A6000 with the 50mm f1.8 OSS lens. I'm trying to judge how much of a resolution loss it would be compared to my Sigma DP3 Merrill. The A6000 would be a huge improvement on pretty much all areas, but if the image quality isn't decently close then it's a showstopper for me. I've read several places that a DP Merrill should correspond to around 25mp Bayer sensor, and that fits well with the A6000 and the 50mm f1.8 should be nice and sharp from f2.8...

Hi All, I have a dp3m and am interested in a dp1Q. I am wondering which L Brackets fits them and if, perchance by some miracle, there is a L bracket that can accommodate them both or am I doomed to buy two? John

Maybe this has been sorted already, but I cant find any threads that full answer the point. I have been looking for a cable release/remote for a DP3M. I have seen device for DP1 which fits in the hot shoe enabling an old style cable release to activate the shutter button, but doubt if the spacing will work on a DP3M I have also seen an electrical shutter release which fits into the micro USB port of a DP2Quatro, but the advert narrative does not say whether it will work in the usb socket of...

I am going to a wedding that will have a “proper” photographer present so any photography I will do is mainly for my own sake (although of course hoping it will give something different to the newly-weds). Thus I was thinking about shooting with a DP3M assuming the pro will come with something different. Safest assumption of my life I reckon ;-) Photography is allowed in the church and to the party - the latter with flash. In order to get sufficient light levels to be able to hand hold the...
