I'm using a DP3M and a DP2M And I just Love the IQ. For travel and low light I rely on my E-M5.As I didn't have the opportunity to use the A7 I'm curious to hear your opinions: Would the A7 deliver an equivalent IQ while providing the versatility of an OM-D?

I've been looking for full res samples of the A6000 with the 50mm f1.8 OSS lens. I'm trying to judge how much of a resolution loss it would be compared to my Sigma DP3 Merrill. The A6000 would be a huge improvement on pretty much all areas, but if the image quality isn't decently close then it's a showstopper for me. I've read several places that a DP Merrill should correspond to around 25mp Bayer sensor, and that fits well with the A6000 and the 50mm f1.8 should be nice and sharp from f2.8...

Hi All, I have a dp3m and am interested in a dp1Q. I am wondering which L Brackets fits them and if, perchance by some miracle, there is a L bracket that can accommodate them both or am I doomed to buy two? John

Maybe this has been sorted already, but I cant find any threads that full answer the point. I have been looking for a cable release/remote for a DP3M. I have seen device for DP1 which fits in the hot shoe enabling an old style cable release to activate the shutter button, but doubt if the spacing will work on a DP3M I have also seen an electrical shutter release which fits into the micro USB port of a DP2Quatro, but the advert narrative does not say whether it will work in the usb socket of...

I am going to a wedding that will have a “proper” photographer present so any photography I will do is mainly for my own sake (although of course hoping it will give something different to the newly-weds). Thus I was thinking about shooting with a DP3M assuming the pro will come with something different. Safest assumption of my life I reckon ;-) Photography is allowed in the church and to the party - the latter with flash. In order to get sufficient light levels to be able to hand hold the...

Hi hope someone will be able to help. I have searched this forum and others but seem to be getting conflicting advice. Looking to get a few spare batteries for my soon to arrive DP3M, i have 3 coming with the camera (all Sigma BP-41's) thought I'd get another 3 or 4 spares, don't really want to shell out £30 - £40 for each one so been looking for replacements / equivalents and this is where I'm getting confused. Can someone please confirm which batteries are compatible with the DP3M a few...

Hello everyone, Hope you are well. I am interested in buying a Sigma DP1 Merrill, as 28mm focal length would be more useful for me than DP2M. But I have read many times that the DP1M lens is not as good as the other ones or is soft. Is this true? How soft is it compared to DP2M or DP3M? None of my friends or photographers I know uses Sigma DP cameras, so this is my only place to ask about it. Those of you who has DP1M or maybe both DP1M and DP2M, could you please share your experience and/or...

Any suggestions as to where I can buy accessories for a DP3M in Benelux/northern Europe? I need a lenshood and a couple of reserve batteries would be nice but even the official Sigma site giveth forth no joy. I can find stuff on ebay UK etc but postage is ridiculous. A flash for fill outdoors is another thing, I have a little SB400 which would balance nicely but I'm not techy enough to know if it could do any actual damage. Is the supply of  bits a general problem or just here? Thanks for any...

I used to have the first Sigma DP1. I loved looking at the images on the screen coming from that camera. It was so sharp, every pixel adding details to the scene. When the Merrills were released, the price was quite prohibitive, and so I didn't even consider any of them, and kept on using my MFT gear quite happily. Recently, I discovered that the prices of the Sigma DP Merrills have become not only cheap, but dirt cheap, when you consider the fact that just buying an equivalent lens would set...
