I've been shooting with a new Sigma DP2M and I've got an unusual problem: whenever I power down and power back up, the camera returns into a setting which I gave it some time ago (B+W, 400ASA, etc.), different from the current setting when it was powered off.  In other words, it forgets my current settings and goes back to this other setting. Unfortunately, this appears to be a new behavior, not the way it was working when I first got it. I've been shooting with the Merrill cameras for a...

I bought a DP2 Merrill last week.  I've always been intrigued by this camera since it was launched, but couldn't justify full price given the drawbacks of the camera.  However, given the low price of the DP2M now, curiosity got the better of me and I bought one. Wow! I'm still learning this camera, but the more I use it, the more I like it. I'd now like to get a DP3M, and possibly a DP1M as well.  Does anybody know of any camera stores that still has new stock of these?  UK or EU to avoid...

I recently purchased a DP2M.  The image quality is impressive.  As a result, I thinking of getting the DP1M and DP3M and using them for all my photography.  Is anyone using these three cameras exclusively?  If so, what has been your experience?

I've had a DP3 Merrill for a time now but I really can't get along without a wider focal length. The DP3 Merrill is the only camera I have - a great camera for what it does.  But for my type of photography it's like trying to walk with one leg.  Anyway, I would like to buy a DP1 Merrill as I have about $500 extra cash to spend.  I'd like the DP0 Quatro but that's too expensive right now and the DP1 Merrill is a more all around focal length which would give me a wide angle option.  Anyone know...

Hi, I have already asked Sigma in Australia, but never get a response from them. I'd like to know if it's possible to just purchase the dummy battery (DC Connector CN-11) withouth the power adaptor (SAC-5), and if so, where please? It would be handy on a longer trip to connect it to a USB power bank - via a StarTech cable USB2TypeH 5V DC power - and save the 'precious' regular battery power wherever possible. Don't have a need to use the SAC-5 indoors at all, so am wondering if someone knows...

Dear Sigma enthusiasts! My Sigma DP1M has developed a very weird problem: It will not show any live view, only the info overlay. Itlooks as if the cap had stayed on, but the cap is off andthe aperture is fully open. Also, the shutter speed andor f-stop info changes as you point the camera to differentdirections. So the sensor is active and sees the incominglight. It is also still possible to shoot photos, and thesewill be correctly displayed for reviewing and all photoson the card can also be...

I have the DP1m and love it to bits. I heard/read on some review that the DR of the images is better at ISO200 than at ISO100. Is this true, and if so, how significant is it? On a recent trip to the lakes, I found my overcast skies were often clipped and unrecoverable. This might be a good reason to learn to use a graduated filter setup, but the beauty about this little Sigma cameras is their simplicity, so the less 'faff' the better. Had I taken my Lake District shots at ISO200, would there...

Once I saw what these 16 artists could do with pencils, ballpens or oil painting, I thought of spending less time trying to understand different X3F RAW ranges... 16 artists who make believe their works are photographs ...In all seriousness, I am still interested in looking at the actual noise values in an SD10 X3F and I set manual mode, ISO 100, 1/6000s exposure, yet when I push the shutter button fully, it keeps flashing 30 no matter how long and nothing happens. The DP1M took a picture...

Processing stuff just now I see that my DP3M has topped 3k exposures, my DP2M has about half that and DP1M only 300+.  This is in 10 months. I've been thinking about a DP3Q but maybe I'd be better advised to grab another DP3 and 2M while they're still available and cheap? Any thoughts about the life expectancy of the DPMs? --Joris1632
