Hi, I have already asked Sigma in Australia, but never get a response from them. I'd like to know if it's possible to just purchase the dummy battery (DC Connector CN-11) withouth the power adaptor (SAC-5), and if so, where please? It would be handy on a longer trip to connect it to a USB power bank - via a StarTech cable USB2TypeH 5V DC power - and save the 'precious' regular battery power wherever possible. Don't have a need to use the SAC-5 indoors at all, so am wondering if someone knows...

Dear Sigma enthusiasts! My Sigma DP1M has developed a very weird problem: It will not show any live view, only the info overlay. Itlooks as if the cap had stayed on, but the cap is off andthe aperture is fully open. Also, the shutter speed andor f-stop info changes as you point the camera to differentdirections. So the sensor is active and sees the incominglight. It is also still possible to shoot photos, and thesewill be correctly displayed for reviewing and all photoson the card can also be...

I have the DP1m and love it to bits. I heard/read on some review that the DR of the images is better at ISO200 than at ISO100. Is this true, and if so, how significant is it? On a recent trip to the lakes, I found my overcast skies were often clipped and unrecoverable. This might be a good reason to learn to use a graduated filter setup, but the beauty about this little Sigma cameras is their simplicity, so the less 'faff' the better. Had I taken my Lake District shots at ISO200, would there...

Once I saw what these 16 artists could do with pencils, ballpens or oil painting, I thought of spending less time trying to understand different X3F RAW ranges... 16 artists who make believe their works are photographs ...In all seriousness, I am still interested in looking at the actual noise values in an SD10 X3F and I set manual mode, ISO 100, 1/6000s exposure, yet when I push the shutter button fully, it keeps flashing 30 no matter how long and nothing happens. The DP1M took a picture...

Processing stuff just now I see that my DP3M has topped 3k exposures, my DP2M has about half that and DP1M only 300+.  This is in 10 months. I've been thinking about a DP3Q but maybe I'd be better advised to grab another DP3 and 2M while they're still available and cheap? Any thoughts about the life expectancy of the DPMs? --Joris1632

Hello, can anyone help me to find or to buy a broken Sigma DP1 Merrill? A good picture from the main board is good for me too. Thanks

At some point in the past I switched an SD card and then upon putting the original back (with continuous numbering in effect) it created a new 105SIGMA folder numbering from 0001 (instead of placing the new picture in the original 100SIGMA folder, incrementing to the next number) Note that I had the latest firmware since 6/15/2013. Today I backed up and deleted all the files on the SD card, deleted the 105SIGMA folder and copied the latest picture files that I named DP1M3501.X3F and...

Hello everyone, Hope you are well. I am having some strange issue with DP2Q and Sigma PP 6.0.6. Normally with my DP1 Merrill, I either process raw photos a little in SPP 6.0.6 before saving it as a TIFF and do the rest on lightroom or just export to TIFF before lightroom. It always works well and I never had any issues. I am trying the same with the DP2 Quattro and regardless of whether I process it or not in SPP, If I import the TIFF file in lightroom to process, the color looks blotchy and...

Hi all !I currently have trouble finding a good lens for my Nex6 when it comes to landscapes. I find the results quite unsharp with the 20mm lens I have right now, and I'm not sure the Sigma 19mm would give far better results on my camera.I've been considering buying the Zeiss 24mmf1.8, since it's said to be much sharper. Of course, the angle of view is different, but still, I would accommodate quite easily I think. However, I've just stumbled upon the Sigma DPM forum, and I feel like the...

I'd like a small (i.e. pocketable) flash, preferably using AA batteries that would work well (manual mode is OK) with the DP1M. Power is not too much of a concern. I'd probably use it mostly as a fill-in flash for subjects fairly close up (10ft or less). Thanks. --Nick (http://savoiu.zenfolio.com/)
