Hi,I am going to buy a Samsung NX500 cam, and need some tutorials about lenses that Samsung is providing to this system (NX). I recalled somewhere on Samsung website, where all lenses (NX) were shown with their coverage and where each one is the best, but now when I need it, I cannot find it.That info was quite informative, simply shows the differences between say nx20 vs. nx 30 vs. nx85. Hope someone saved a link to that tutorial/product info. I know it basic stuff for you guys, but not for...

Hi ! Looking for information about battery grips, I had a closer look at the NX30's battery compartment door and noticed there is a notch with a snap-on plastic cover. What do you think it is supposed to be here for ? Usually, it is used to let a cable/wire go through when using a battery extension of some sort. Cheers.Jay

Hey ! Planning on buying YN560III (with built-in RF receiver) soon with a pair of RF603IIs for the NX30 soon. I'll also buy a JJC cable-N release cord to use the RF603s as remote shutter release. I have a question : if I use one RF603 as remote shutter release, the other one on the camera as receiver, is it possible to trigger the YN560III at the same time ? The "signal" would be : RF603 release button -> RF603 on camera triggers shutter -> RF603 on camera triggers YN560III -> YN560III...

Hi ! This is a question for DxO Optics Pro users wh own an NX30. I have been using DxO Optics Pro happily with my NX1000 and never had any issue (even if the following "problem" is not really an issue in a strict meaning). Since I got my NX30 I have noticed a strange thing. If I load a RAW file (shot with NX30), DxO reads the EXIF perfectly and tells me what lens was used to shoot the photo. If I load a JPG, there is no lens appearing in the field. The result is that, for JPG photos, DxO...

Hi ! Do you have any idea if the NX30 can accept ultra fast Sandisk Extreme Pro UHS2 cards (up to 260 Mb/s write speeds) ? More importantly, would it benefit from using such cards ? I am currently using Sandisk UHS1 C10 45mb/s cards. CheersJay

Hi ! There is something I don't understand with my NX30 when I shoot RAW (or RAW+JPEG), triggering the release button, say, 3 to 5 times per seconds (well, actually, not even this). I understand that, in burst mode or continuous shooting, the camera has to slow down at some point, even the more so that the NX30 has quite a small buffer. But, what is very strange is that shooting in burst mode gives at least 30 images before stopping and triggering it continuously slows down after 3 or four...

Hi ! Does anyone know of some sort of "hidden" (in the sense I did not find it on the net) vertical grip for the NX30 ? shooting vertical with my Samyang 85mm is quite difficult with the NX30 so I was wondering. Been looking in lots of places but I'm afraid there is none available at all. Just in case ;o) CheersJay

Hi ! I recently discovered that my NX30 can shoot in Program and Shutter priority modes without giving the "check your lens" message I get with the NX1000 ? Just for a confirmation of what I think. As long as the aperture cannot be set by the camera in S and P modes, there is no use in using it in these modes with legacy manual lenses. Am I right ? If I'm not right in thinking that, what would be the use of shooting in these modes with manual lenses ? CheersJay

Hi all ! Fairly often (I'd say almost each time I use it, at least once in a session), my NX30 freezes. I can't do anyhing, the buttons do not react. Switching modes back and forth puts it back to life. Does it happen to other users ? It seems the firmware is quite buggy. Far more than my "old" NX1000. I have to say that I am somewhat disappointed with my NX30 compared to the 1000, even in use (the menus are clearer and more functions are available under just one button on the 1000). Cheers.Jay

Hello everyone I own a NX30 with the kit 18-55mm. I'm an amateur, I know the basic of photography and I'm used to shoot with a 45mm f1.8 I'm starting to be a bit bored with portrait etc and i don't like the kit lens ( I'm living in ireland and I need a bright lens as most of my shoot are low light). What should I buy ? 16mm , 20mm from sansung ? Or is there an other wide lens from an other brand (samyang etc..) that could be great for my use ? For the moment my choice would go for a 16mm f2.4...
