This isn't an attempt at an objective and unbiased review, just a personal comment I'm just amazed at this camera, its brilliant, does exactly what I want, and was so much cheaper than other available options I wanted a small camera very portable camera with control over depth of field - this with the 30mm f2 does exactly that. Its great. And playing with depth of field is even more fun with the screen, which is incredibly sharp and detailed, so manual foussing becomes easy... Cheap feeling, ...

The NX100 can be had for a song, and the tune it sings is all about exceptional IQ at a bargain price. Contrasty, popping colors in low ISO JPEG, a little sluggish processing RAW but not too bad with 14MP files. A grossly underrated and seriously overlooked camera with capabilities far beyond lackluster reviews and poor marketing efforts by Samsung would have you believe. PROS: - Above par image quality, solid DR range with flexible Smart settings, great RAW quality. - NX glass is above ...

I have had many SLRs and still have Canons with L-series lens. The NX100 is a delight to use and produces extremely good quality images particularly with the 30mm f2. This is a gem of a lens and the whole system is tiny by APC standards. I think it has a quality feel to it and i always get positive comments on the retro look. I have no desire to upgrade it and I love the fact that it is easy to lug around. Problems: None

As an (admitted some years ago) avid user of a Canon 40D which was good and of course the $$ you ahve to spend on good glass I did switch some 2+ years ago to a Panasonic G1 (the 1st of that series) with the 14-45mm & the 45-200mm lens andlter got the flash for it. I was immediately satisfied though did not like so much the crop factor of 2x typically for the MFT's system. That was one of the smallest mirrorless DSLR's back then and the electronic viewfinder was just brilliant. However over ...

Just got finished using the camera. Amazing pictures. The quality you would expect from Samsung. American TV Brown Deer store has a special on it for $497 including the 55-200mm lens as well as the lens that comes in the box and a flash and Free 4GB Memory card. $$250 cheaper than even Amazon!
