Samsung's Digimax V6 is a a compact 6MP camera with suprisingly rich feature set. I recently obtained the "A6" version of this camera. I was clearly disappointed. The shutter is slow, auto focusing is erratic, and the camera has a nasty habit of producing blurry pictures at anything short of bright sunlight or close-range flash. On the plus side, the standard camera-side USB connector and option for using ordinary AA batteries are nice touches. The camera also had a bad pixel in the CCD image sensor, which at least made my return to the store a little easier to explain ...

Many features. Quite good consumer camera. For occasional photographing is output usable. Problems: Higher level of noise, minor autofocus problems also in daylight from tripod. Sometimes doesn't want to switch on. There is some unspecified delay on Power switch.

I have had this camera for four days now, so this review is provisional. I bought it because of its feature set, which I think is very good. The first photos showed that images were sharp - I have had several digicams, like the Nikon 5200, were images were too soft - so I was delighted. Metering seems excellent, and the lens lives up to its reputation. That's the good bit! Problems: The menus are like one of Bill Gates PCs: prone to freezing.
