The images produced by the camera are excelent. The colour reproduction is good. The images show plenty of detail with no distortion around the edges. I also like the having the option to have the pictures in TIFF. If using tiff then I would recommend using a 256MB memory card. The camera has a 2 inch rotating LCD display which means that it can be stored without the display being exposed to knocks. The camera construction feels solid.
