I just wanted to say that even nine years after the release of this camera, it remains a totally relevant part of my gear list. The only camera I know of that allows the user to choose between the big, bright rear LCD, a top-notch (for the era) EVF and a waist-level electronic viewfinder, it's more of a pleasure to use than all my other cameras combined. I have been using this camera for about a month. This is a wonderful, perhaps the greatest non-SLR camera available. It's sophisticated manual function and diverse modes are parallel to that of dSLR. They are easy to use. If one is just a bit familiar with manual mode, he/she will get a great picture that is very rewarding. After 2 months of use I can tell just it, the Digimax Pro 815, for my one man show opinion is a great camera. Pro : When you hold the 815 in hand, you hear a great feeling of solidity and sturdiness.
