Love the design and build of this camera Tons of features makes this camera fun to play with. As for image quality, there is visible noise at anything over ISO 400 but got to remember that this is a point and shoot camera. Can't expect it to perform like a DSLR. Bought this for $229 and for the money, its a great deal Problems: Noise at anything over ISO 400 but what do you expect? This is a point and shoot camera. If you expect better, go with a DSLR

The NV7 is very well constructed to the extent that it feels like it is almost a solid block of metal. The switchgear and general construction is similarly top-class. It has an unusual inteface that soon becomes intuitive and is not hard to use. An annoyance is that the image stabilisation system seems to switch itself off form time to time and it is easy to accidently fully press the shutter before focussing is finished. I habe been very dissapointed by this camera when <i first took it out of the box. I must say I wasn't expecting much and as I found a good deal and was in love with it's looks, I went for it. Well, after some time I took it out again and took some more shots, played around with its features. I must say my first impressions were wrong. I just purchased this camera at CC for $249 and it came with a free 1 gig card. I have been looking at it for a long time but have been reluctant to purchase because of the various reviews.
