Got this for $199 USD. What a bargain !!! Similar to the other NV cameras. I like the larger LCD screen and manual controls. I have several of the NV series cameras and I am impressed with all of them. Definitely recommended.

Past NV15 Owner. NV11 adds 5x & Man shots I owned the NV15 (I posted a review for it as well) for a ~2 weeks but returned it for the NV11 because the 11 has a 5x optical zoom & full manual shooting capability. Interface-wise the NV11 seems pretty much identical to the NV15 except, as I've already alluded to, it allows complete manual shooting capability while the NV15 only had a limited number of aperture/shutter selections when shooting in manual or a/s priority. Shot quality was not bad and ...

I normally shoot with my Canon 30D mostly in concert lighting, hand held with either the Canon f2.8 24-70 or Canon f2.8 70-200IS lens. Usually, I'm shooting wide open at 1/30 or 1/60th sec. I wanted a camera I could throw in a small bag that wouldn't weigh a ton and I could tote anywhere. My kids have Canon A630 and the S3IS cameras which I've used. After considering mostly the Fuji f31fd, I tried this Samsung NV11 out at a store and was impressed with its cool factor. Have now shot a few ...

Beautifully designed, ALMOST Canon g7 in features and image quality. But bigger LCD, and also 2:3 mode which Canon doesn't have, and - smaller! Also there's no need to lug the power adapter and batteries: it charges through USB, and (at least for me) battery seems to last forever. Problems: Self closing lens cap appears too lightweight to protect the lens. Needs a protective case for any harsher environment use. Image stabilization, or faster lens, would help a lot!

A small well designed compact with a good lens and unique control system. I purchased this camera as a stop gap when my digi-leica (carry around camera) went into be repaired. Essentially I use 22mp backs on large and medium format cameras for a living. This, although a point and shoot, has full manual controls – which is what I was looking for along with all the great auto features ….. General comments – Great lens in both quality and range (5x). Manual focusing is not easy as you have to ...

Overall a very good camera. The new "Smart Touch" user iterface is great, and very intuative. The picture quality is amazing with that wacking 10 mega-pixels. Which makes A3 printing a doddle. I enjoy taking abstract photos of very wierd objects which needs a great deal of zoom; this camera handles it very well. It is built like a tank and is quite difficult to scratch. It isnt great value for money, but it's looks; well; I suppose you'd pay anything for them! The ISO is great at 1600 but ...
