Does anyone know if the EA-LWCEX01 (Samsung 0.75/18mm wide angle conversion lens) is fully compatible (including the in-camera distortion correction) with the EX2F?

Made a shortlist using snapsort. Looking for a compact pro to get into photography as a hobby. The price differences are not that high so please disregard. Want the best overall in terms of actual photography, and don't care about wi-fi or gps, so won't use snapsort's own ranking. Anything stands out as best or better to avoid? For example, I'm reading the P330 can be very slow. Obviously, I'm doing my own research, but additional views would be appreciated. Nikon: Coolpix P7700 Coolpix...

Since I can buy the NX1000+20-50 for 280 euros (less than ex2f -299 euros) I'd like to know a few things about the camera. 1. I read the Imaging-Resource review where the reviewer said that the shot-to-shot time is about 1.3 seconds for RAW. If the image review (after the shot) is disabled, is this time reduced? 2. Can someone use the WiFi remote to start video recording? 3. How good is the lcd screen during a sunny day? Thank you very much

Hello! The two cameras have the exact same price where I live (330€ in Greece), so I have a bit of a dilemma. The obvious advantage of EX2F is its size and portability while the NX1000 is a much better camera due to the bigger sensor size. The truth is that I'm not planning on buying the 16mm lense (or any other) in the near future, which makes me wonder if the bundled 20-50mm f/3.5-5.6 makes that much of a difference in performance compared to the 24-80mm (equiv.) f/1.4-2.7 of the EX2F. After...

Hi Volks,Just got the Samsung EX2F which does not allow me to shoot RAW. The option is there in the photo quality menu, but only Superfine (jpg), Fine (jpg) and Normal (jpg) is active (can be chosen), while RAW or RAW + Jpg combinations are inactive (cannot be chosen). No difference whether in Smart auto, P, S, A or Manual mode. Please help! Is there an obvious reason or something to switch on or the camera is just faulty? Thanks in advance.---------------DPuser100

Finally bought the bullet and ordered EX2F as a faster lens replacement for G12.  I thought having the wider angle (24 mm)/articulated LCDs would supplement my Nikon 1s better when I want to travel light.I hope someone can help me with my questions:1) Batteries:Can I use SLB-11A on EX2F? I hate changing/charging batteries on the road and these are 1200-1300 mAh2) would the lens adapters for EX1 work for EX2F? I like to use these + filter to protect the zoom mechanism when I go to dusty places...

This Samsung looks like a great candidate to replace my G12:- faster lens- articulated lLCD- 24 mm wide- potential add on teleconverter in the future- thinner profile 1.1"But I read somewhere that its thickness is not 1.1"! Could someone who owns it confirm its thickness?  If it is as thick as Nikon P7700 I may want to reconsider as the later is compatible with my remote, flash etc.thanks--Daniel Ohps. I truly believe photography as a hobby is defined by the pleasure you get from the...
