I've recently acquired one of these second-hand. It's a nice rugged camera, and simple to operate. Colour rendition I thought excellent and resolution pretty good for a 4MP camera. What surprised me was how well it operated in low light. It also coped very well with scenes of wildly varyiing brightness. Not to be sniffed at! Problems: Battery life seemed rather short - as is common with cameras of this era.

I have rather similar A40. Overall, very nice cam, especially for a price I had paid. + Well-built. (there are flimsy parts like lens andbattery cover, but overall, - built like brick.) +Does its job. -Usable indoors, but only in P mode with ISO 400 and non-auto WB, not great even then. only good for outdoor in summer, have to put nearly all photos in computer for changing light, colours etc. After 30 - 35 photos the battery is empty, even when using 2500 batteries

This is a rather small, but not overly decent digital camera. This is my first camera, so it is hard to compaire it to others. Though I've used a good bit of cameras, and this is probably one of the worst. It has a nice 4-megapixel resolution. The pictures are ok after you spend some time editing on the computer.
