Fine little camera. Very compact, very lightweight. Big pros: 28 mm equiv. wide-angle, very short shutter lag, macro focus down to 1 cm. Optical VF is nice to have, even if it crops heavily in this case. Very long battery life with decent AA rechargeables (2000 mAh+). Straightforward user interfaces, Adj button makes improtant settings easily available. Problems: Flash weak and with small range of adjustment, tends to burn close-up shots and get unnoticeable from 2 m on. Recharge is slow, too. ...

At first, camera was OK and easy to use. After a few months, problems began to be numerous on this camera. I do not recommend it. Problems: -A gap appears between the two parts of the body. -Supplied bateries leaked and cause connection problems. US$100 on repair, for it is not covered by waranty. -Now, the camera doesn't work anymore, the screen stays black.

the design is stylish, cool. build quality is not bad also. Problems: image quality as bad as it can be. nothing more to add. have seen many cameras out there, never one with SO bad image quality. so be sure to check this out before giving out bucks.

I'm very happy with this camera I bought for 119 euro's a couple of weeks ago. It's very easy to use and I think the imagequality is very good for a 3MP. What I like the best is the 28 mm wide focus and the fact it's extreme fast for a compact. I can state that what you see on the screen, you will see on the picture, even if it's moving fast. Also the macro-mode is very nice, I made some thrilling macro's of a dragonfly and some other insects with it. To summarize, very good value for the money.

A very good camera and it's nice photo quality is really out of my expectation. Wide angle lens is clear and sharp. The focus is fast and excellent. The camera itself doesn't eat too many batteries.:-) It's price is comparatively cheaper than Canon's digi-cam with same level/function. Problems: NIL

Best camera I've ever had! It is my fourth digicam, and by far the nicest, despite somewhat lower image quality than my Olympus 750UZ. The autofocus is superb, very fast ingood light and extremely tolerant to low light. On several other points, it is significanly better designed than the Olympus. Manual focus in one obvious advantage. Menus and controls are very easy to navigate and the most important ones are easiest to find. Even though it lacks PASM modes, you still have most settings ...

this is the first digicam i've bought, and i've only bought it as a present for someone else, but still, i took a day and checked it out. why this one ? because i needed something with 28mm (or less), with a big optical zoom, and at the same time lightweigth. small, and not too expensive. these requirements left next to no options. experience: i took it to a football-stadium, packed with 60.000. the camera is tough enough to survive beeing tapped down by security guards and beeing used ...

I have to have a 28mm zoom lens, so when Ricoh announced the RX, i immedeately bought it and left my Nikon 5000 behind. The form factor and speed made it incomparably convienant to the Nikon. I know I must be giving up a bit in PQ, but I haven't noticed it. Problems: None
