It seems good, featurewise but desapointing when using it. It is not user friendly and always let me down. Problems: No battery indication, too slow to switch on and to take second picture, night shooting is always a surprise, terrible resolution, (mainly when compared to FujiFilm) Battery life not good. Grip not firm, the pictures are always blur.

Brilliant camera with great features for any occasion. Being a biker I need a camera that can be carried with ease, and nothing comes close to this with comparable specs. I bought my camera here in England at the end of November over the Internet and got a very good deal to include an extra 128mb card and a second battery. Both these items I would recommend to anyone as they increase the usability enormously. The camera is so easy to hold in any position that only a fool would have ...

A very good camera! The image quality is very good, the colours correct and warm.It is small, fits into your pocket and well protected, it seems. The digital zoom that only works with the lowest resolutions is usable!! Don´t ask me why, but if I compare this function with my Olympus 3030 it is like night and day.The flash is also better and the possibillity to change intensity is useful. It is easy to change betweeen resolutions and storage place and flash functions. The turnable screen is ...

This camera is small light and very easy to use. I upgraded from a Nikon CP700 and I'm glad I did, the RR1's movie mode is excellent, the macro is fantastic it's comfortable and an all round great 4 megapixle camera. Problems: The zoom control isn't in the best place.

I'm impressed by the construction quality of the Ricoh Caplio RR1, and by the ergonomics -- everything feels just right. The menus and settings are well thought out and more intuitive than most other digital cameras. The design is unique, but it's a good one. The price makes it a good buy. I also have a Nikon CoolPix 950. A good camera, but the smaller size of the Ricoh means that I carry it around much more frequently -- easily fits in a jacket or coat pocket. Image quality? I definitely ...

Extremely horrible piece of machinery. I bought it thinking that it was a cool camera with a unique design. BAD IDEA. The design is so horrible.... when I had someone take a picture for me on the day after I received the camera, they dropped it! Read on for more info about that... Problems: 1) Design. The camera is designed in such a way that it is impossible to firmly grip. Not only that, but anyone holding the camera will ALWAYS 100% cover up the flash with their finger. When you tell them ...
