Moved from a 'quicktake 150' to the RDC-7. In my work as a forensic consultant / document examiner / investigator I photograph writings and other physical evidence and the macro feature is excellect. I also use it for all my general investigative work and print the results on an Epson Stylus 740. Use the camera in the 2048 Fine mode and the resolution is excellent. File transfer to my Mac is quick and simple. Problems: flash is unpredictable and I have resolved this by adding a small ...

Thrilled with the camera. Lightweight, a super sharp focus, marvelous macros. Captures color well. LCD screen is easy to see and buttons are easy to find, without having to access the menu too much to set up a quick shot. Almost never need the flash. Can load pictures from camera to computer with ease. Love the little movies with sound. Great fun. Great resolution and color accuracy from a very nicely designed and well built unit. Excellent lens with little distortion and tremendous macro abilities. Pro modes can get you a true 7 mpix image, but it will take quite a while for the camera to process. Battery life from rechargable Li-ion is spectacular. Problems: Top shutter release needs more travel to improve tactile feedback. Otherwise, a very well thought out design.

I am using this camera to take pictures for the newspaper that I work for. I also use it in my web site construction. The camera takes good pictures as long as the light is good. I would recommend this camera to any one looking for a camera that is compact and not bulky. Problems: Low light causes problems with the camera because the flash does not reach very far. The veiwfinder is almost usless.

snap shot camera. high res settings are tooo slow, camera locks up for 30 secs to 60 secs when using ncompr. curious that can't charge battery in camera when ac connected. must turn off camera everytime you switch power source. Problems: slow speed at high res captures. trigger is used for focus lock and to fire picture. the tactile feeling is poor and premature shots are tooo likely.

I've got excellent pictures only when i was using the LCD-Monitor. Using only the Viewfinder i always had trouble with the white balance of the pictures. The Li-Ion Battery lasts quite long. With the LCD turned on, it worked for about 2 hours. I'm not satisfied with the Flash. Almost never had good results. The handling of the camera is very easy. Because of the turning LCD you can take pictures from almost any angle while still beeing in control over the LCD-Monitor. Even better angle ...
