A good camera overall but needs a gentle touch... The Ricoh RDC-6000 was my first digital camera, and overall it's been a good experience. As you can see below I've had a fair number of problems with this camera, but all in all I think it's quite good - the problems manifest themselves rarely - and once you get the hang of it they occur very rarely - I've taken several thousand photos with the camera and only had one lost photos incident since I got the 'hang' of the camera. Good things - ...

It was good as my first digirtal camera, but later i found that image quality was bad when compared to images made by other cameras. No I have Fujifilm M603 - it's like day against night when compare to RDC-6000. I'm very satisfied with my M603 Problems: unsharp images (I think because of low-quality lens), slow shutter, weak movie mode, low sensitivity (very bad when light is low)

A great first digital camera, run over 12,000 photos with this camera, problems between light and dark areas of the subject matter, dark is very dark. A good overall package for the money. Problems: Camera changing from photo setting to overall setting by itself. When used with the external power supply there was excessive static build up on the camera case. The cammera is not consistent with photos and cannot handle indoor photos.

First the good points - Good quality of photos. Very good Macro capabilities. Excellent connectivity eg. video out, serial, usb etc, Good software. Fast downloading via usb. Small and light. Good Battery life. Cons - Poor construction - feels very flimsy and I am not comfortable to handle it a lot. Very fragile and feels cheap. No optical zoom, previous model had optical zoom. Terrible Low-light capabilities. Only small 8mb smartcard included. All in all not such a bad camera, however I am ...

Great for a beginner's digital camera user. Takes great outdoor pictures in natural light. Tends to produce pictures that appears to be dark indoors. Love the video function. Problems: Battery life is short.

Two cameras, Two duds. When I noticed the local electronics store was selling RDC-6000s on closeout for $200 each, I bought one for myself and one for my dad. I didn't do any research prior to buying, relying on my previous and extensive experience with the Ricoh RDC-5300 and the assumption that the RDC-6000 was the evolutionary successor of the 5300 as my guide. The RDC-6000 is not an improvement on the RDC-5300. It's more like the stripped down version. Without optical zoom, many of the ...

Good for snaps but pics on the dark side having to brighten them in a paint programme. Dissapointed in the lack of sharpness and unable to resolve this. i feel focus is an important issue. worried about the dial on top. I feel it will break. Problems: freezing of lcd display and freezing on dowload.

This is my first digital camera , bought it last March 2001.Till now I took over a thousand pictures with it without any problems at all. Pictures need a little thouching up. I use Microsoft Photoeditor autobalance feature and the pictures improve a lot. Small handy camera, I take it with me nearly every where , straped to the belt, with no discomforth. At this link are some examples that I took http://searchmalta.com/cgi-local/photos/main.cgi?photographer=163&type=2&brand=0 . Problems: Not ...

Having used a friend's 1 Megapixel camera I was pleased to pick up a Ricoh 6000 for £199. Unfortunately the camera has done nothing but disappoint me and I've now returned the camera and exchanged it for a Fuji 1300 (of which I'm very pleased). On a positive note, the camera comes with excellent documantation and lots of cables (including a power supply). This is deffinately on to "try before you buy". Problems: Very noisy. Slow to take photos. Hard to get a good image without manually ...
