This is a camera, carry it anywhere, great IQ, UI, built like a tank. Did I say it is my favorite camera ever, well it is. It is one I will never sell, it is that good.

The GRD4 is what some say a small upgrade for the GRD3. This in fact is not the case. The GRD4 is way ahead of the 3. The screen is wonderful in any light. The hybrid AF system really speeds up the focusing and improves accuracy even in low light. The images appear to have more contrast and sharper. The new filters are really nice and can be accessed by the jog lever. All in all it's a great camera and a worthwhile upgrade. Problems: Just one. The DOF scale is useless not like the GXR.

Have moved from GRD 3 to GRD 4 and am pleased with the result, even though the change was not cheap! Camera now focuses even faster and images seem even sharper and with richer colour. More options for customisation and some great film effects, especially bleach bypass. The LCD was very good before but now its truly exceptional - have had no trouble seeing it in all kinds of light. Many things stay the same...and that's as it should be as the GRD3 was a great camera. User interface just ...
